The space in the Sugao Room is much larger than expected, so much so that at least four people can stay there. There are two of us, so when we went to pee at night, I was scared to death. The inside is clean except for some dead bugs inside the bulb. For reference, there is also Dyson. However, most other ryokans have luggage moving services, but here you have to move your luggage yourself, and it is expensive for a ryokan without hot springs. Still, the garden view is more beautiful than expected! The photos come out well too. The garden here is prettier than Kokura Garden.

Non-popular tourist areas are the best choice for unlocking vacations. I accidentally booked the largest Japanese-style suite in the hotel. The whole set in the century-old courtyard. The private butler arranged from the check-in, the remarkable meal service, really let the little potatoes experience it! strong

Location of hotel is very good, Level 2 has a sheltered walkway linked to Kokura station. When exit from the door, turn right to take the route towards stadium, this is faster as it has a travellator. It’s less walking than walking towards Lawson and pass the anime building to the same kokura station entrance. From kokura, can access many malls such as Vierra, AMU plaza, Saintcity and etc. If the tower floor has discount, highly recommend to take it as the amenities are good and refilled each day of the stay. Free access to Tower library which is a quiet and cozy area to chill and enjoy the free drinks with a nice view. There are hot and iced coffee, tea, calpis, Minute Maid etc. Breakfast set menu for tower room only is good, had a special fish dish on the both days I went, service is top notch. Buffet spread at level 1 is good too, has many tasty selections. After the buffet, can even takeaway a cup of coffee from the entrance coffee machine.

A very good hotel with good sized rooms. It’s within an easy walk from the Shinkansen station. The rooms are clean and reasonably and provide good views of the surrounding area.
The best experience is at breakfast where the staff provided outstanding service. They do everything they can to please. They are friendly, polite and helpful. They make the overall experience excellent and are well above average. Thank you especially to the breakfast staff, especially the waiters and the people who greet you when you arrive at breakfast.
More than happy to return, especially with such great staff.
Breakfast is a mix of Japanese and western food and is well worth a try. The sweet corn soup is very good and is always nice and hot.
House keeping staff are also very good and are always happy to help.
The only area to improve would be the airconditioning in the lifts which can be quite hot at times in summer.
Overall a great experience mostly due to the lovely and caring breakfast staff.

Overall an excellent hotel, uses an automated system for contacting.
to receive service There isn't any receptionist. But the only way to contact the hotel when there is a problem is the phone number. We encountered a problem that we did not receive an e-mail from the hotel regarding the entrance code and check-in method. And this time, roaming was not turned on. Makes you feel uncomfortable enough. But when you call The staff at the other end of the line can speak English and provide good explanations.

The room is very spacious and within walking distance to delicious grilled curry. However, I could not enter the hotel without receiving an email when checking in. It is recommended that travelers who plan to check in must confirm the password again and again. The password of the trip.com reminder check-in email is incorrect

this was the worst service hotel in my 12 days japan trip. the staff were not sincere in their service, i checked in 30min before 3pm and was asked to pay early check in fee for 1hr. not a huge issue, but the tone and attitude of the staff left a sour note to our trip.
location was convenient as it’s right smack in Mojiko.
rooms were fairly dated and cleanliness can be improved.

Have a night stay at this hotel. Location is nearby Mojiko station. Could see the Blue Wing Moji Bridge. Room is clean and size is considering ok for a couple. Easy to find restaurants at the surrounding. Night view was great.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from JR Kokura Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. The area surrounding the hotel is brimming with food options, including late-night eateries, which is perfect for a midnight snack.
In addition to the food, the hotel is situated near a bustling shopping district and a shopping centre, making it easy to indulge in some retail therapy. There's also another local train station close by, which adds to the convenience.
The room itself was very clean and satisfying, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The only minor downside was that the toilet was a bit small, but it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location, cleanliness, and convenience. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Overall, an excellent hotel. A bit small, and when we are old, my wife struggled to get on and off the bed when it is against the wall. Request for change but had to pay 2700 yen extra per night for a twin bed room which we can push apart to allow easier getting on and off

The location is absolutely fantastic, and the room was incredibly quiet. Despite being right above Kokura Station, I didn't hear any bullet train noise. The front desk staff spoke English and provided excellent service. I personally timed it: once you exit the elevator on the 3rd floor at Starbucks, it's a quick three-minute walk to the JR platform (if you know your way around) – it's just so convenient! The room wasn't small for a Japanese hotel, it was very clean, and had a ton of outlets, plus a power strip with two two-prong outlets and two USB ports. The drip coffee was also delicious, not acidic at all, haha. Next to the JR station, in Meihin-gura, you can find Nunu Chicken and a small selection of Chiikawa merchandise.
Right downstairs from the front desk is the AMU shopping mall. Inside the station, there's Shin-Shin ramen and a FamilyMart. You can walk via a covered walkway to Uomachi Shopping Street and the adjacent mall with Zara, as well as the mall with the yellow anime bear head – no need to get wet in the rain.
There's a piano in Kokura Station, and people often play it when passing by.

Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, and the lobby on the 7th floor is grand. Check-in and check-out are done via machines, which is very convenient. The twin room was quite spacious, and the bathroom was larger than the typical integrated ones. There was plenty of space to open two suitcases without blocking pathways. Luggage storage is available in self-service lockers behind the 7th-floor lobby. For valuables, the hotel also offers a staffed storage service.
Hygiene: Excellent.
Environment: The hotel is located right above Kokura Station, making it extremely convenient for getting around. You can enter through the door next to Starbucks on the 3rd floor to access the elevators. There's a shopping mall connected downstairs. I specifically didn't book breakfast at the hotel, planning instead to explore local breakfast options outside. This time, I tried Komeda Coffee and a local Kitakyushu bakery; both offered breakfast sets with great value for money.
Overall, it's larger and offers better value than hotels in Fukuoka. Although it has some age, it doesn't look old or dated at all.

We were visiting to watch the rugby at the Mikuni World Stadium and wanted somewhere to stay near by. This place was an absolute gem, incredible room, huge jet bath with TV, breakfast served in bed and the best part was the view from the balcony included the Mikuni World Stadium. Staff were amazing, they didn’t speak English but were very quick to assist and help. They received post for me before my arrival which they gave to me as soon as I arrived, there was a private lounge area to rest and refresh when we arrived too early to check in. I would certainly revisit, especially if you’re headed to the stadium. I wish I’d taken more photos of the amazing room!

The room is very comfortable ~ there is a jacuzzi 🛀 like ~ 🛏️ the bed is big 👍 ~ there is also an ion clip, curling iron 👍 ~ ~ there is also an oven, you can buy things back to heat and eat 👍 ~ ~ The restaurant also sells a lot of food!
