Cons: The remote control couldn't turn off the TV. I spent ages looking for the front desk extension number on the table… it wasn't obvious at all. Then I was told to find the switch on the TV itself to turn it off… What kind of system is this…?

|20.72km from 安妮公主花園Great for family trip. The service of room was satisfying and quite fast. As soon as we enter our room in third floor, we noticed the size of slippers provided was too large. To our surprise, they took care of the problem almost immediately. I will give the service five star. As for the swimming pool, the quality of water is also good enough for children in 6-12 age group. BTW, thanks for the swimming pool service people. They gave us medication for mosquito biting in emergency.

We stayed at this hotel recently and while there were some positive aspects, a few issues affected our overall experience.
Upon arrival, we had to wait for quite some time in the lobby as there was no staff at the reception desk. This lack of immediate assistance was disappointing and gave a poor first impression.
When we entered the room, we found that no slippers were provided, so we had to call the staff to request them. Additionally, the shower was not working properly. As we were already tired and sleepy after waiting, we decided not to report it further and simply rested for the night.
On a positive note, the room was clean and well-maintained, and the location of the hotel is very accessible. Close to transportation, shops, and restaurants. With improvements in front desk service and room facilities, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience.

The staff is also very friendly and helpful. It is very well equipped with a big shared area and a spacious kitchen area for hotel guests to use.
The laundry area has also allowed us to wash majority of our clothes before we end our trip. The room is also just nice for my family of 4.

|21.47km from 安妮公主花園The B&B counter service hours are from 9 to 5 o'clock. There is no one at other times and no contact information was left. The B&B is located in a landscaped park, and there are dining guests and tourists. However, the door of the B&B has no access control, and anyone can enter and exit at will. When I was using the massage chair on the first floor at 7 o'clock in the evening, a tourist, Uncle, opened the door directly, stepped in with his shoes on, and walked straight in to the corridor of the room to visit and comment. I was scared to death and could only be thankful that I had booked a room on the second floor that day. I quickly went upstairs and asked my daughters to lock the door, and warned them not to go to the first floor alone to play with toys. The safety issue is really worrying.
Then there is no ladder in the bathtub, making it inconvenient to get in and out. When bathing, the line of sight is too low to see the scenery. Moreover, standing outside the house, you can clearly see the room and bathroom on the second floor. There is no way to enjoy the bath as suggested in the photo. Enjoy the scenery.
The outdoor hot spring part is basically deserted, and only foot baths can be used. Breakfast was ordinary, just a sandwich box in a picnic basket.

It was also exceptionally well-equipped, and even the single room was surprisingly spacious, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is incredibly convenient, with an abundance of great food options nearby. It's only about 300 meters from Taichung Station, a mere five-minute walk. Zhongxiao Night Market is around 1.5 kilometers away, roughly a ten-minute walk. Miyahara is even closer, just a 6-minute walk, making transport extremely convenient overall. The hotel also provides daily weather forecasts, which is very useful for planning visits to attractions like Sun Moon Lake, Cingjing Farm, and Alishan. My overall stay was fantastic. I definitely hope to visit again. Highly recommended!

|2.05km from 安妮公主花園Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants.
However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower.
The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs.
On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available.
One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests.
Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

The hotel's breakfast is a simple buffet. While filling, it's not quite the standard of a star-rated hotel. It's more like a business hotel buffet, though the sandwiches are quite tasty.
The room was clean, tidy, and quiet, with everything you need. However, the air conditioning was quite cold, and the automatic temperature adjustment didn't seem to have any effect. Setting it to 26 degrees felt like 18 degrees.
Also, I wish there weren't Buddhist scriptures in the drawers. A Union Version Bible or New Testament, like many hotels do internationally, might have provided a more peaceful atmosphere.
The seating area in the first-floor lobby offers self-service coffee and snacks, which is a nice touch.

The self-checkin machine is convenient, key your first name or middle name ,your phone number. then scan your passport. The shower has good pressure and the temperature of warm water is optimum, not too hot to harm the old people's skin as many other hotels do. staffs have good services though they don't have smiles on their face.
The hostel has breakfasts and snacks too.

|4.12km from 安妮公主花園This is a 4-star hotel. Regarding facilities: 1. No bathtub. 2. No smart toilet. This feels a bit off for Taiwan. The bed was quite large, everything else was standard, and the bathroom was also spacious. Plus, there's a 220v outlet.
Cleanliness: No issues, very good.
Service: For breakfast, you have to clear your own plates and cutlery. Is this a cost-cutting measure? It's not very eco-friendly and reduces staff jobs. Also, I was given a dirty, unwashed cup. Other service aspects were fine.
Environment: It's not too far or too close to the MRT station. The snack shops nearby are all delicious (next to 7-Eleven). There's a 7-Eleven and FamilyMart right downstairs, so the location is pretty good. However, the soundproofing isn't great, especially being right by the road.
Value for money is decent.
