This was my third stay at the Rosewood Hong Kong, and it was the first time I've encountered a room that smelled musty. Thankfully, after speaking with them, they were able to switch me to a room with a normal scent. Breakfast was excellent as always; they even gave me a box of chocolates as an apology for the slow waffle service. The lunch at The Legacy House was absolutely delicious, it definitely deserves more than one Michelin star.

The room faces Golden Bauhinia Square directly, offering a superb view and breathtaking scenery. However, there were quite a few dust mites in the room, which made me, as someone with a dust mite allergy, sneeze and have a runny nose constantly, which was a bit of a struggle. Also, the handheld showerhead in the bathroom couldn't be adjusted, which was very inconvenient. The overhead shower was in an awkward position, making it impossible to stand on the anti-slip mat. Everything else was excellent; the service was great, and the location was super convenient, right next to K11, with all dining and entertainment options within easy reach.

For those doing a Hong Kong and Macau trip, I recommend going to Macau first, then Hong Kong's K11, because it has a drum washing machine, a drum washing machine, a drum washing machine! (Yes, it's that important, I said it three times). You can wash all your dirty clothes from Macau in K11's washing machine, and drying is no problem either – it's a great amenity. I'm introverted and don't like interacting much with staff, but they were very discreet and kind. Oh, and the night view is beautiful too.

I initially thought that after so many years of renovation, the carpets might have an odor. However, after a long comparison, I decided that location was paramount. Other reviewers had mentioned no issues with smell, so I chose Kowloon Shangri-La. I ended up being incredibly satisfied! The decor is grand and luxurious. The staff are enthusiastic and remember guest preferences. (I was among the first employees at Shangri-La Qingdao in '97. I remember during training, we were taught to always remember every guest's preferences. It's great to see that Shangri-La's global standards haven't changed over the years.) They made sure guests felt completely comfortable. The Horizon Club's breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner offer incredible value for money, and the service is excellent. My husband and kids both said this was an excellent hotel choice. It's also convenient for shopping, and they even gave my child a gift! 💝

Privacy nightmare! The biggest issue was with our initial room. From two different corners of the adjacent building, other guests had a direct view into our entire room, specifically the bed and the bathtub. We felt constantly exposed. The staff did relocate us, which we appreciated, but we were shocked to see they immediately put another couple in that same room, knowing the privacy issue was unresolved. The shower in both rooms did not seal, causing water to leak all over the bathroom floor every time we showered. We notified the staff, but the issue was not fixed. The toilet area provided no actual privacy if you travel with family. The adaptor provided did not fit into the wall plug.

I came to this hostel without any particular expectations. I initially chose it because it was the cheapest in terms of value for money. After spending 4 nights here, I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hong Kong. The rooms and bathrooms are in very good condition and always clean. The location is fantastic! It's super close to the subway station and shopping malls, and within walking distance to many places, which is incredibly convenient. There are also tons of food options nearby; the famous pudding tart shop is right downstairs. Even after 11 PM, you can still find places to eat, which is a huge plus. The staff ladies are super polite, saying ”thank you” with every interaction – they're incredibly nice. The cleaning staff also actively smiles and greets you. Although the room is small, it has everything you need and is really clean. I'd even exaggerate to say it's spotless. I was quite worried before checking in, but after staying, if it weren't for a non-refundable booking elsewhere for the next day, I would have definitely extended my stay here. They provide drinking water, small snacks, and even a universal adapter. Any questions I had were actively and promptly answered. The building itself is also very good, giving a strong sense of security.

It’s a great location, we were able to walk absolutely everywhere. The staff are friendly. The lockers are good and the communal table spaces are great. There’s also slippers, a kettle, water filter tap and microwave/fridge. Bathrooms are make/female and are clean, good pressure and hot showers. The bedrooms are cool and have good aircon. The pods are good, but the mattresses are very thin. We stayed here for 5 days and it wasn’t very comfortable. Also, check in wasn’t very easy, it took a long time to get it to work as it didn’t seem to accept our name or booking number.

We arrived late, maybe 11.30pm, but were greeted warmly and checked in smoothly. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and the environment peaceful. Shower was hot and worked well, all towels and linen were clean, toilet was clean, and the room itself clean enough. It looked like it must have been a child's bedroom once because there were glow-in-the-dark decals of planets stuck on the walls and ceiling. This room is fine if you are traveling on a budget and need somewhere to sleep and keep your things while you explore Hong Kong, location is away from the centre but metro a short walk that will take you straight to Central Station. Was a bit difficult to find down a back street.

The location is excellent, right across the street from Tin Hau MTR Station Exit A1, making transportation very convenient. You can even walk to Causeway Bay. Nearby, there's Tin Hau Temple and Victoria Park, and within a one-kilometer radius, there's a great selection of food. The room was clean; although the size can't compare to mainland hotels, it was perfectly adequate for two people. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. There was no impolite behavior towards guests from the mainland. When I checked in, they even offered to help with my luggage, which was a very comfortable experience.

Took my kids to Hong Kong to watch the Ronaldo Saudi Super Cup final. Saw it opened in '09 and decided to take a gamble on it. Turns out, it completely exceeded my expectations! A veteran five-star hotel truly is in a league of its own. As soon as we walked in, we saw a signed Ronaldo jersey – the atmosphere was incredible! Facilities: Even though it opened in '09, it's incredibly well-maintained. Cleanliness: Spotless, absolutely nothing to complain about. Environment: No weird smells at all, a pleasant surprise. I booked this hotel three months in advance for a family visit in Hong Kong. It's very close to where my relatives live, and for Hong Kong standards, the room size is quite spacious, offering excellent value for money. It's super convenient to get to – just turn right after exiting Chai Wan MTR Station, and you're at Youth Square. We stayed on the 13th floor; although the hallway felt a bit retro, the building's facilities were great, and the air conditioning was strong. The room was clean, and both the AC and hot water worked perfectly. I particularly liked the sink. The bathroom was small, only big enough for one person; if you're a larger person, even turning around might be a bit tight. I prefer not to have housekeeping, so I kept the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on for a few days. They offer a complimentary simple breakfast from 8-10 AM. There are plenty of good eateries around, and they're generally cheaper than in the bustling city center. There's a restaurant called Tak Sing Restaurant where you can enjoy dim sum for breakfast. Overall, this hostel offers good value for money.

It costs around HKD 30 (half-price for children) and you can get off at Ning Po Street, then it's a five-minute walk to the hotel. Payments can be made via WeChat Pay, Alipay, or credit card. However, I personally found the roast meats and dim sum to be rather ordinary. If you consider yourself a connoisseur of roast meats and Hong Kong-style dim sum, you might want to skip it. The dining environment was pleasant, though. Furthermore, we booked for Monday lunch at 11 AM, not during a busy weekend, but by 12 PM, the manager came to ask if we wanted to order anything else because 'there were other guests waiting.' This was very impolite. If a customer declines extra orders, there's no need to add that last part; they might even appreciate the offer more. This incident further solidified my impression that customer service in Hong Kong can be lacking. After his question, I felt rushed and the rest of the meal was very tense.

## Environment: The hotel room was quite spacious and comfortable. It's very close to Victoria Harbour, and walking to Tsim Sha Tsui East and Tsim Sha Tsui MTR stations is also very convenient. I chose a twin room this time because the king-size rooms were smoking rooms. Our room was on a higher floor, close to the elevator yet still quiet, and we could see a partial view of Victoria Harbour from outside. The front desk service was exceptionally thoughtful; they would proactively offer help whenever they saw us. ## Hygiene and Facilities: The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. All the amenities are quite new and very clean, though the facilities themselves are relatively classic/retro. ## Breakfast: Breakfast was a mix of Western and Cantonese cuisine. The variety of dishes was relatively rich, and the Cantonese dim sum was delicious. They offered freshly cooked pork rib or fish ball noodles/vermicelli, and the most thoughtful part was being able to add as much noodles or vermicelli as you wanted.

Starry Inn is a walking distance to Ladies Market, restaurants and shops, Sneaker Street, banks, buses, etc. The staffs on WeChat are very responsive, nice and friendly. She allowed us to extend for an hour before check out. The room is fine, but the elevator in the building didn’t work twice or three times our stay. The wifi is sometimes slow or very slow, and you’re disconnected at times. The water in the toilet floor takes times to dry and the water stays longer when you take a shower. The aircon needs to be turned on at all times because it doesn’t work well, or the cooler needs to be repaired. The room is very hot. But overall, we had a peaceful stay. You can stay here if you want to save money for a group of 4.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean even though there were signs of wear and tear. Be aware that they provide daily disposable paper bath towels instead of cloth towels. No hand or face towels provided. I had to ask for hand soap to be provided to us. Hand sink shares the same area with beds. The safe battery was low by the fourth day. Bed linen was great and room keeping services were outstanding. We needed cleanup from an accident and they took care of it promptly for us.

I feel extremely lucky to have found this little gem in Hong Kong. The dorms are extremely well laid out, with plenty of space for the suitcase and personal belongings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean, the common areas are cosy, there's everything you need in terms of kitchen utensils, the water pressure in the showers is amazing, the rooftop is a really place to hang out in the evenings, and most of all, the host Patricia makes you feel at home. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient! 📍Room 503, 5/F, Haiphong Mansion, 53-55 Haiphong Road, Tsim Sha Tsui (Take airport bus A21 to stop 14, Cameron Road, takes about 54 minutes). Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station is right downstairs, and the A21 airport bus stop is about a 10-minute walk away. I chose this hotel specifically to attend a concert at Kai Tak! It's about a 10-minute walk to Tsim East MTR station (from Tsim East, you can take the Tuen Ma Line directly to Kai Tak Sports Park, which is only 6 stops and very convenient, costing 6.8 HKD one way). However, the room is indeed very small. It's perfectly fine for one person, but for two adults, it might be a bit cramped, especially with luggage! So, I highly recommend it for solo travelers! Within about a 10-minute walk from the hotel, you can reach New Harbour City, K11, Avenue of Stars, and China Ferry Terminal (where you can pick up City Line tickets). For food, I recommend: 1. Genki Sushi on the 2nd floor of Silvercord, a 5-minute walk away (great value for money, the sashimi is really fresh, and the tuna trio is a must-try – the melt-in-your-mouth tuna is absolutely divine). 2. For dim sum breakfast, Kowloon Cafe is just a 3-minute walk downstairs. Their breakfast set includes a Hong Kong-style milk tea for just 3 HKD, and it tastes very authentic.

This family hotel is in a great location, just two blocks from Mong Kok Station. There's an elevator. The rooms are small, only 10 square meters, but they have everything you need (private bathroom with shower, air conditioning, a fan, and an adapter). Our room didn't have a window, but thankfully, we didn't feel stuffy. The owner is a beautiful woman and very kind. The staff are also very helpful and eager to help with any questions. We arrived early, and the owner even said there were two rooms available for us to choose from. The door requires a code, which is very secure. The value for money is excellent.

A pleasant surprise! There's a lively bar street right downstairs, attracting a fun international crowd. The front desk staff were excellent, explaining everything very clearly. The location is truly central. The bathrooms here are exceptionally spacious. Fantastic value for money! Just a heads-up, they no longer provide toothbrushes and toothpaste, so remember to bring your own.
