Location: The hotel is right next to Chaotianmen, making it incredibly convenient whether you want to see the confluence of the two rivers or go shopping. Even if it rains, there's still plenty to do. Service: I booked two rooms. Since it was my first time staying at a hotel, the front desk staff were very welcoming. They even offered a complimentary room upgrade for my parents, which instantly made a great impression. Room Type: Online reviews mentioned the rooms were a bit small, but the Deluxe River View Twin Room was actually larger than I expected and definitely spacious enough. Being on a high floor offered fantastic views. Waking up in the morning and opening the curtains to a ray of sunshine felt like the whole city was saying good morning to me. Other Services: The gym had all the necessary equipment, and the breakfast maintained the standard expected for this level of hotel. Very good. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay, and it added a lot to my and my parents' trip to Chongqing. I'll definitely book InterContinental again for my next trip to Shanghai.

A truly wonderful retreat. While the facilities are a bit dated, it doesn't detract from the experience at all. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, and the place is quiet and peaceful—very comfortable. Without further ado, here are the pictures.

Arriving in Chongqing from Shijiazhuang, our subsequent stay during this trip was at the Regent Hotel. Let me just say upfront, this review of the Regent reflects the genuine experience of my family and me. The hotel's facilities are exceptionally comprehensive, and they truly think of everything for their guests. Even hair curlers are available, and they can provide retainer cases and contact lens care supplies. We hadn't brought contact lenses due to travel inconvenience, nor had I brought my retainer, but honestly, staying at the Regent, you truly don't need to worry about such small details. Speaking of facilities, the hotel offers a swimming pool, a bar, Chinese and Western restaurants, kids' DIY activities, and much more. Despite being a nine-year-old hotel, it is immaculately clean and well-maintained. The overall ambiance and design are very stylish and perfectly complement Chongqing's local culture and charm, with excellent attention to detail. But above all, it was the service that truly stood out and was the primary reason I chose the Regent. I experienced the hotel's exceptional service two days before check-in, when they proactively inquired about our room preferences and requirements, even offering a choice of pillows. Upon arrival at the hotel, a dedicated staff member was there to open the car door, and our luggage was promptly taken care of by another staff member. During check-in, we were even presented with thoughtful and exquisite children's gift sets. While waiting in the lounge, a warm and welcoming staff member offered us drinks. After a brief respite, we entered our room to find it meticulously prepared for us, including the arrangement of latex and buckwheat pillows. The mattress was a KingKoil, and while the sleeping experience, though excellent, was perhaps a tad less perfect than our premium mattress at home, it was still very good. The toilet was a TOTO with a Washlet, and as someone who's had experience with TOTO products, I was thoroughly impressed. The staff members were all very enthusiastic and patiently answered and handled any questions or requests. Daily housekeeping and turndown service were provided, ensuring the room was spotless, tidy, and created a wonderfully inviting ambiance. Thoughtful touches like glasses cleaning cloths, weather cards, cable ties, premium bath amenities, and even handling of laundry were all impeccable. The staff at the DIY area, swimming pool, Two Rivers Bar, and dining areas were all exceptionally good. My son was right at the 1.2-meter height threshold, yet they didn't charge for his meals. The hotel gifted us Chongqing noodles as a souvenir, and we were even allowed to keep the room key cards as a memento. They also gave us dessert vouchers, and we received beautifully packed desserts to enjoy on our journey home. My sincere gratitude once again to every single staff member. Well, I'll stop here; there are simply too many thoughtful details to list them all. This hotel truly sets a benchmark that many others should aspire to!

Niccolo Chongqing: Pinnacle of Luxury Above the Clouds My trip to Chongqing truly peaked thanks to the Niccolo! Tucked away at the very top of IFS, this hotel genuinely redefines ”luxury above the clouds. The room's 270-degree floor-to-ceiling windows are absolutely breathtaking, offering panoramic views of the Two Rivers and Three Shores. At night, as the city lights up, you can lie in bed and soak in the dazzling cityscape of Chongqing—an unforgettable experience. The lounge on the 62nd floor is another hidden gem for views; sipping a specially crafted cocktail while gazing at the river makes the city's hustle and bustle simply melt away into the background. But the true highlight of this experience was undoubtedly the service from our butler, Delancy. From adding us on WeChat to confirm our needs before check-in, to her incredibly prompt responses whenever we had a request—yet never being intrusive—her perfectly balanced attentiveness added a warm touch to the luxurious stay. The location is also unbeatable. It's incredibly convenient to walk to IFS for shopping, and a taxi ride to Hongyadong or Jiefangbei takes no more than twenty minutes. From the facilities to the service, there wasn't a single flaw. Next time I'm in Chongqing, I will definitely choose this hotel again, and I especially look forward to seeing Delancy!

We arrived at the hotel and received a wonderfully warm welcome from Mr. Allen Fung. He even added me on WeChat for easy communication, which was a thoughtful touch. Unfortunately, when I entered the room, the light tube flickered in an unsettling way. Mr. Fung immediately sought out a technician to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, they were unable to fix it. In a gesture of genuine concern, he upgraded our room, which we truly appreciated. What stood out to me even more was how Mr. Fung personally helped us move our luggage to the new room. He consistently checked in on us throughout our stay until we checked out, making sure we were comfortable. This level of attentiveness and care made our experience memorable, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel services I've encountered during my travels. Thank you, Mr. Fung, for your exceptional hospitality!

Wow, I’m so happy I decided to spend my birthday weekend at the hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful to us. The beds are extremely comfortable, cleans and elegant. It was so refreshing to have the hot pool which I enjoyed well at the evening, as weather temperatures were much lower. Thank you to all the staff members who made our stay more pleasant (@Rachel) . The hotel amenities are top tier. The breakfast was great, well cooked and liked the fact that they serve western breakfast and not just Chinese. The pool was clean and great to be around. I would definitely recommend the place and I hope you enjoy your stay like I did. I look forward to coming again ☺️
