Stayed mid august as a family of 5. This hotel is situated in a peaceful little cove no more than a 20 minute walk to Magaluf. We were very lucky to get a partial sea view room with a huge terrace in one of the quieter blocks so we were never bothered by any noise. The rooms were lovely and cleaned daily. The fridge had bottles of water which we refilled from the several water fountains dotted around. The 2 pools were great, a quieter one for relaxing and the main pool if you wanted to engage in water aerobics etc. plenty of sun beds (we swapped around to choose shade or sunbathing) and a fab little beach from which you could swim around the cove, snorkelling with the beautiful fish. The restaurant was great, very busy but with tons of choice, and the staff were great finding us tables (tricky sometimes with 5 people) All the staff were super helpful and kind and did a wonderful job as the hotel was very busy. We didn’t bother with the animation evening but we could hear and see that people were having a great time. Instead we would sit by the pool or beach and enjoy the peace and warm nights. Not sure why people are so negative, this is fab hotel who work hard to manage a lot of guests. I don’t know what people’s expectations are but I found the food very tasty and replenished quickly, staff would always try to help, and if you want more excitement it’s a quick taxi to Magaluf (not my type of place). Can highly recommend booking the kayaking with Dom (the most incredible experience) but beware when hiring a car as I had to chase the company for my deposit. Would definitely return for another holiday ❤️

When we arrived check in was quick, staff not very friendly, had to take our own cases wich would have been fine except we had to find our own way to room, food was always cold and always the same, mini bar in room had 2 bottles of water and that was it the whole week, entertainment was right outside our room, too noisy, room was lovely but that was only good thing about hotel, beach had big holes and very uneven and smelled like sewers and very small we walked 20 minutes each day to magaluf, asked bar staff for bottle of water to take out with me and was told to get it out of machine, we checked out at 12 but flight wasn't till 11pm, was not offered anywhere to shower or change before pick up so came home from beach strain to the airport, would Definitely not recommend this hotel, it's sad because it has so much potential to be a fantastic hotel.

I booked a superior ocean front room for a stay with my friend to celebrate her 40th birthday. When we arrived at the hotel we were told at reception that they had overbooked and our room had been given to another guest so we would be downgraded. I was not happy about this but no other rooms were available. I was assured that I would receive a refund for the price difference (which is over £100). Before I checked out, I signed a document to say that I agreed to the refund. This was mid September and I still have not received any refund despite e-mailing the hotel and the hotel chain multiple times. This has completely ruined anything positive I may have had to say about the hotel and I would never ever stay in a Barcelo hotel again if this is the way they treat their guests. My e-mails are just being ignored or answered with another e-mail address to contact, to which I receive no response.

poor beach; dirty/dusty water; busy beach; busy sun-beds around swimming pools and at the hotel yard; almost no sun at the sun-beds' areas... shadow... shadow... shadow. food - law quality and monotony noisy entertainmend, and not interesting. welll... the rooms are pretty clean as for the hotel age and standard.

Terrible food, cold and at times inedible. Beautiful room but very poor view. Jacuzzi didn't work. Unable to use the spa, I was told it was all booked up. Beautiful location but not a lot to do, OK if you just want to sunbathe.
