A lovely auberge set in a quiet location amongst fields with stunning views. Well placed to explore Vercours and the surrounding area. A spotlessly clean hotel. Welcoming staff and owners. Good parking. Lovely refurbished building and beautiful grounds that run towards the River Drome. There is a restaurant on site, food lovely and breakfast very good indeed. Would recommend and look forward to visiting again in the future.

We stayed at this hotel with a cycling group. The grounds are spacious, offer a good spot to park bikes, a workstand, a pump a,d basics to clean bikes. The check-in and check-out times are limited but our group was allowed to use the pool before check-in. The wifi only works in the common areas, not in the rooms. We were able to use a side terrasse for our daily briefings, which were slightly handicapped by the lack of wifi to review routes online. We also had dinners on premised. While we had agreed on menus for the 4 nights, the was a significant deviation on the first night, without prior warning and that was disappointing (replacing salmon with pork loin was not a good choice). Breakfast had plenty of options to choose from, which was good. Interactions with the staff were sometimes rough, and I am not sure whether it is because of their lack of command of the Engmish language or intentional, but our group was chastised for having a picnic lunch on site whereas the place does not serve lunch. So, not sure whether it was a matter of trying to get the group to move to the backyard picnic tables or the side terrasse. The rooms were spacious, but no TVs, no fridges, no wifi. Our group was not felt very welcomed in this place, especially compared to other places in the trip.

This is a very pretty hotel on the edge of the Vercors with mountain views. The central courtyard is very inviting. It is easy to find and has ample free parking. The pool looked great but we didn’t have time to use it. The rooms are very large, comfortable, well appointed and quiet. There is a restaurant on site but it is a separate entity to the hotel. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English.

An excellent auberge in a beautiful, tranquil setting. Building has been renovated superbly and all areas are exceptionally clean. It was an old farmhouse and the rooms are full of character. Very good restaurant on site, good service, friendly staff and lovely food. Breakfast was one of the best we enjoyed on our two week holiday in France. Special mention to the Manager and his Staff for running such a charming and friendly establishment.

Auberge La Plaine Fantastic place. Very nice hotel out in the countryside. Nice and helpful staff, very good food and lovely rooms. You must not miss this place, we highly recommend it. This is what you looking for, trust us. Spend some time here......
