Que se passe-t-il avec Taj depuis le Covid... on a l'impression que le service n'est plus du tout à la hauteur. La propriété est superbe (comme d'habitude), mais les chambres et le service ne sont vraiment pas à la hauteur. Pas de service synchronisé de la nourriture au dîner (2 convives reçoivent leur plat, le 3ème, 10 minutes plus tard). Pas de sets de table pour manger, l'un a des services et une serviette, l'autre a des services sans serviette... On vous dit qu'on va apporter les choses... mais non! Aller chercher les baggages pour le départ: prévoyez 30 minutes. Ce n'est pas à la hauteur, et ce malgré la gentillesse et la bonne volonté du personnel. Comme disait Hamlet: "Something is rotten in the Kingdom of Denmark'...

Excellant ambience excellant food, surrounding views were excellent ....but the service was very very poor. all the trainees were placed there and some young staffs were unable to communicate as they were very shy. Room service was also poor

This Taj hotel isn’t nearly as good as others in the chain. Though the situation is pleasant, it’s a long way from anywhere. For us, a major downside was that the hotel is on the side of a hill so there are stairs everywhere – not too funny in 36C (there are buggies to transport guests, but they are very few and far between). The room wasn’t bad, though it was quite tired (and had geckos). The outside was in dire need of maintenance with paint falling from window frames. Facilities weren’t great: the bar wasn’t open and the snooker table had a strange mix of balls (see picture). Staff were helpful, though frankly not very competent. Food I the restaurant was OK. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again and I think the Taj chain should examine how this place is run.

This historic property has been thoughtfully converted into a hotel and is set on many acres of beautiful gardens. The view from the restaurant of the city is wonderful. The staff here was attentive and friendly at all times and the food in the restaurant was very good. We were in three rooms above the office/reception area and sometimes we could hear noise from below. I do recommend ear plugs because the peacocks, while lovely, are very noisy and it persisted into the night.

Our family had an amazing time at this hotel. It was a beautiful and serene place. The best part about our stay was the service. Everyone was so hospitable, especially Mr. Thanga Pandian Muthusamy. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. He arranged a boxed lunch for our kids because our flight was during lunch time. He also made out daughter feel so special with giving her peacock feathers. We are glad we stayed at this hotel!

One of the best Taj properties I have seen. Excellent support staff made our stay a one to remember for a long time to come. We stayed for 3 days and it was absolute pleasure - felt sad that our vacation was coming to an end. I would also like to convey my gratitude and my highest appreciation to M/s Manikandan, Govind, Ashwini, Eshwar, Saina, Subash, Suhal, Sudipto, and the larger team - they made our stay a memorable one.

Heaven on earth. The security officer Eashwaran was so kind and helpful. Beautiful stay 💕💕. Felt like paradise on earth. I would definitely recommend this property to all nature lovers who want a getaway from daily life hustle bustle.

Excellent Service and Mr. Pandhian took personal care right from booking till check out. Well kept property and reminds to you of an era. Food was very nice too. This indeed will be or preferred hotel

A great place set in a sprawling and beautiful landscape , maintained to very high standards and amenities . The staff were extremely hospitable and helpful starting from the airport pickup, arranging transportation to visit the local temple and to Rameswaram. Was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and would highly recommend.

Had a wonderful experience. I would particularly like to mention the Chef, Mr. Arul and Mr. Yellappa for the great care and personalized service during our stay. The hotel also arranged a trip to famous Temple.

We have stayed in a Taj hotel before and we’re expecting similar standard. Unfortunately we were very disappointed- the location is fabulous, yet the room was stuffy, no coffee only tea available in the room, plugs didn’t work and could also have done with some cleaning! The glasses in the bar were not clean - it was just the small things that added up,
