This hotel took a minute to find if you arrive from the East ,just walk straight through the mall.It is attached to a mall, so whatever you may need is 200m away .Yet, to its south side, is a beautiful hill with a historic building .The hotel is clean and the rooms are pretty impressive for the price. The rooms come with a sofa or 2 chairs ,a desk and a very nice bathroom. All around, I would say for the price ,it's great value.

If you're visiting Nanjing, you absolutely *must* experience a stay in the Yihe Yaju King Room at Qin Huai Ren Jia! This place perfectly blends the ancient charm of Jiangnan into every corner of the room: the walls are adorned with evocative ink wash paintings, delicate bamboo woven decorations grace the corners, and the solid wood floors feel silent underfoot, exuding a serene elegance. The antique-style lamp by the bed casts a warm glow, illuminating the carved bed frame and the plain-colored bed canopy, instantly melting away the fatigue of your travels. The hotel's location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from attractions like Fuzimiao and Laomendong. You can spend your day exploring Nanjing's historical sites and then return to your antique-styled room for a restful evening. It's quiet, stylish, incredibly comfortable, and definitely my top recommendation for accommodation in Nanjing!

Overall the experience of staying in the hotel was satisfying. The location is nice, the building is tall, and if the room faces the south, you can enjoy the view of the city, the lake and the mountains. The room is clean and quiet, but the soundproofing is not really perfect. In the morning you can hear your neighbors talking. The bathroom is super clean. The furniture is a little old, but in a good condition. The breakfast is served on the first floor, and in winter time it's really cold in the restaurant. The choice of dishes is satisfactory. The receptionist is kind, quick and friendly. The only buzzkill is the absence of additional free water or a coffee machine on the first floor. All in all, it was kind of a pleasant stay.

To catch a glimpse of Nanjing's historical grandeur from the Six Dynasties period, we planned a whirlwind trip and only booked one night at the Fenghuangtai Hotel. Despite the short stay, it left a fantastic impression on me. Upon check-in, the front desk staff member was highly efficient and friendly, quickly processing our paperwork. The entire process was seamless. We booked a newly renovated room, and it felt instantly comfortable upon entering. The space was open and bright, with a minimalist yet modern design – perfectly suited to my taste. Even for a one-day stay, a great environment genuinely enhances the overall travel experience. What truly stood out was the bedside charging setup – it's a godsend for anyone with OCD or battery anxiety! In many hotels I've stayed at before, outlets are either insufficient or inconveniently located. Here, each side of the nightstand featured a USB port, a Type-C port, a three-pin socket, and a two-pin socket. This combination is incredibly practical! Our phones, power banks, and cameras could all charge simultaneously. The presence of the Type-C port meant I didn't even need my charging brick; a single fast-charging cable was all it took. This level of thoughtful detail is truly impressive! Due to our tight schedule, we left early the next morning and didn't get a chance to experience the hotel's breakfast, which was a slight regret. All in all, even though our stay at Fenghuangtai Hotel was only for a brief night, both the room's innovative design and the incredibly user-friendly charging amenities truly showed the hotel's dedication. If I return to Nanjing, I will certainly choose this hotel again and stay for a few more days to fully experience everything! Highly recommended!

Conveniently located near Zhujianglu metro station and Xinjiekou — the city center. The recycling station/trash transfer facility immediately behind the hotel right at the rear entrance kind of detracts from the appearance. Somewhat difficult to find if you aren’t familiar with it. I was initially put into a room with a leak from the ceiling, another leak from under the sink, and very weak water pressure from the shower. They were very willing to move me to a new room, but they should repair the problems instead of ignoring them.

The hotel is excellent in every way. I've honestly lost count of how many times I've stayed here. Its proximity to Yuejiang Tower always makes for a great experience. Just a heads-up for drivers: I completely forgot about the rush hour traffic restrictions for non-local vehicles crossing the Yangtze River and got hit with a 100 RMB fine on the way, haha.

Niushou Mountain Cultural Tourism Zone
The Temple of the Buddha at Niushoushan is one of Nanjing’s most breathtaking spiritual and cultural landmarks. It’s not only a temple but a huge underground palace built with stunning architecture, golden domes, and detailed carvings that make the whole experience feel sacred and peaceful. Inside, you’ll find a calm atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the busy life outside the mountain. Before entering, visitors are asked to wear protective covers over their shoes — this is a respectful gesture to keep the temple floors clean and preserve the spiritual purity of the place. The temple is very well-maintained, and you can really feel how much care has been taken to protect its beauty and significance. Keep in mind that Niushoushan can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. If you prefer a quieter and more reflective visit, try going on a weekday or early in the morning. You’ll have more time to walk around peacefully and truly enjoy the details of the artwork and architecture without the rush. The temple itself is free to enter and is located close to the Fooding (Fo Guang) Temple, so you can easily visit both in one trip. Around the area, there are also beautiful walking paths, gardens, and viewpoints with amazing views of the mountain and Nanjing city in the distance. It’s definitely a must-see spot if you’re in Nanjing — a perfect mix of culture, spirituality, and natural beauty. 🌿✨
Xie San Bao (Nanjing Xinjiekou Branch)
Hello... Hello everyone! Today, Gammy volunteers to take you to a very famous and popular restaurant among tourists visiting Shanghai. 👋🏻 🦀 Xie San Bao Noodles ✨ The branch on Nanjing Road has a sign in Thai. They welcome Thais and have a Thai menu, but the shop is quite small, with only a few tables. Today, I ordered two dishes: crab fat noodles and crab spring rolls. The taste is 7/10. ✨ Not impressive, but the taste is average, a bit sweet, creamy, and salty. Each bowl costs almost 400-500 baht. They come with a few side dishes, just enough to cut the richness. Overall, it's good, passable. Don't forget to give it a try! 👋🏻🦀 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - #ShanghaiFood #gmmsdiary #journey #travel #backpacking #travelinChina #travelinChinabyyourself #Traveling to China is so much fun #Beijing2025 #Shanghai2025 #Recommend delicious restaurants #Shanghai
Six Dynasties Palace City (Taicheng) Relic Site
The Six Dynasties Museum in Nanjing is dedicated to showcasing the city’s long and fascinating history as the capital of several ancient Chinese dynasties. The museum is located near the Nanjing Presidential Palace and was built over an archaeological site, combining modern architecture with historical ruins. While the idea behind the museum is interesting, the overall experience can feel a bit underwhelming. The exhibits are quite limited, and many descriptions are in Chinese only, which makes it difficult for international visitors to fully appreciate the historical context. The lighting and layout are modern, but the displays don’t offer much depth or interaction compared to other museums in Nanjing. If you’re short on time, this might not be a must-see. There are other museums in Nanjing — like the Nanjing Museum or the Presidential Palace Museum — that provide a much richer and more engaging experience. That said, if you happen to be nearby and are deeply interested in Nanjing’s ancient history, a quick visit could still be worthwhile. But for most travelers, it’s probably not worth going out of your way for.
Yuejiang Tower
🏯 Yuejiang Tower 🏯 exudes an incredible ancient charm! This is the ultimate destination for history enthusiasts in Nanjing, boasting stunning architecture and cultural significance. A must-visit spot for architecture and culture lovers, guaranteed to captivate you instantly 💯. Nanjing, known as the "Six Dynasties Capital," is a city rich in political, economic, and cultural heritage. Yuejiang Tower stands out even more, as it was personally commissioned by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang of the Ming Dynasty. Located atop Lion Mountain, it offers a majestic imperial perspective! The emperor even enlisted the scholar Song Lian to compose the "Record of Yuejiang Tower," adding a royal court drama vibe that feels like stepping back into the Ming Dynasty✨. In the "Record of Yuejiang Tower," Song Lian not only praised the architecture but also incorporated governance philosophy: "When ascending this tower, one must reflect with awe and think of ways to bring peace to the people." This serves as a reminder for rulers to govern with compassion and diligence. The current Yuejiang Tower stands 52 meters tall with seven floors (truly magnificent🔥). Its green tiles, red railings, and intricate carvings embody the grandeur of Ming Dynasty royal style. Remarkably, this tower was a dream for 600 years before finally being realized! Alongside Yellow Crane Tower, Yueyang Tower, and Tengwang Pavilion, Yuejiang Tower proudly holds its place as one of the "Four Great Towers of Jiangnan" 🏆. However, Yuejiang Tower is not just a photogenic historical site; it’s a literary and historical time-travel experience. From the tower, you can overlook the Yangtze River, feel the breeze, and watch the ships pass by, instantly transporting you back to the prosperous era of 600 years ago. The immersive experience is unparalleled 🤩. 📍 Address: Lion Mountain, Gulou District, Nanjing (right next to the Yangtze River, super easy to find!) 🕒 Opening Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 (Hours are often extended during holidays; it’s recommended to check the latest announcements before visiting⚡️).
The Ming Tomb
If you’re in Nanjing and want to combine nature, history, and stunning views, Purple Mountain (Zijin Shan) is an absolute must. Rising on the city’s east side, it’s home to some of Nanjing’s most impressive landmarks — and one of the best hikes around. The mountain’s most famous site is the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum (明孝陵), the resting place of Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, the founder of the Ming dynasty. The grand stone pathway, guarded by ancient statues, leads to his tomb — a masterpiece of Ming architecture and symbolism. Nearby, you’ll also find the Linggu Pagoda (灵谷塔), an elegant tower surrounded by peaceful forest trails and sweeping views of the city below. ⏰ Good to know: Each site inside the scenic area has its own ticket — • ¥70 for the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum • ¥35 for the Linggu Pagoda Tickets are required between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, but the general mountain area is open and free to explore. The hike up takes about 45–50 minutes on foot, with fresh air, shaded paths, and truly breathtaking views once you reach the top. 🌿 Tip: Wear comfy shoes, bring water, and plan to visit in the morning or late afternoon to enjoy cooler weather and softer light. A visit to Purple Mountain is more than a walk — it’s a journey through imperial history and Nanjing’s natural beauty. Completely recommended. ✨

With four distinct seasons, Nanjing has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers and cold winters. If you plan for a great vacation in Nanjing, the best times to visit the city are during Spring and Fall, predominantly from April to May and September to November. While Spring can be warm and humid, but it has less rainfall and is not as scorching hot as Summer with an average temperature of 26 °C (78 °F). It is an excellent season for outdoor activities and viewing blossoming flowers. Fall is another good season to visit as the weather is pleasantly cool and dry. The worst period is arguably the summer as the temperature easily top 34 °C (93 °F). The highest temperature is in July, hitting above 40 °C (104 °F).Beside Spring and Fall, other peak times for Nanjing are national holiday periods when millions of domestic tourists tend to descend on the city. To avoid extreme crowds, pick your dates carefully. Also, prices for hotels and flights will be most expensive during these times. Major Chinese holidays are the Chinese Spring Festival (late-January or early-February), Labor Day (beginning of May), National Holiday (first week of October), and Student Summer Holiday (July to August).
