I decided to take a short Thanksgiving break and explore the Caribbean. For the first three days, I booked the all-inclusive Hyatt Vivid. The advantages were high cost-performance and delicious food. I recommend the Oishii Aglio and Mediterraneo restaurants. The hotel also had many activities. The downside was that you had to take a shuttle bus to the beach. For the last two days, I planned to go scuba diving, so I booked the non-all-inclusive The Westin Resort & Spa, which was very cheap and right next to Jellyfish Beach. However, the entire room smelled of salt, like living in a kimchi jar. The dive shop was Manta Divers; the instructors spoke excellent English and were quite patient. I was very lucky with the great weather for scuba diving. I recommend bringing seasickness medication. I don't consider myself prone to seasickness, but I was still careless. The lagoon and the boat trip probably lasted about 30 minutes. Seasickness combined with the tight wetsuit made me feel dizzy before going into the water. When I was incredibly nervous, I saw beautiful little fish swimming leisurely past me, and I immediately felt it was all worth it. If you stay in the Seven Zone, you can try Navios, a very authentic and delicious South American restaurant. You can dine with crocodiles! The cocktails are also highly recommended 🍹 Adiós, Cancún.
