There are shuttle buses directly to Okayama Station and Kurashiki at the airport entrance. You can take the bus by purchasing a ticket for 1,000 yen with a transportation card or cash. There are convenience stores and souvenir shops on the first floor, and the second floor is a restaurant area. Although it is small in scale, it has everything it should have. The distance between the domestic and international lines is less than 100 meters, and the movement line is clear, so it is not easy to get lost. There is a small duty-free shop after leaving the country. There are not many products but basically everything is available. It is suitable for the last replenishment, but the price is slightly higher than the city. There will be a small queue during the peak entry and exit hours. There are not many counters but the staff is friendly and the process is not complicated. The overall tourism quality is relatively refreshing and there is no crowd pressure. During our vacation in Okayama, Japan, a city we'd never visited before, we were strolling through the streets when we stumbled upon a unique little shop that captivated us. It's a popular local ramen shop with a traditional Japanese izakaya-style twist. The warm and elegant atmosphere and friendly service make it a perfect place to enjoy more than just ramen. Here are the three bowls of ramen we ordered: Chicken Clear Broth Ramen (Photo 2) The clear, transparent chicken broth offers a light yet rich chicken flavor, with just the right amount of fat, making it a smooth and effortless drink. Paired with tender chashu chicken, a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg, diced onions, grated shiso seaweed, cilantro, and bamboo shoots, the broth is rich and refreshing. Scallop Shoyu Ramen (Photo 3) The dark soy sauce-based broth, infused with the broth of clams, scallops, and other shellfish, imparts a fresh, sweet seafood flavor that's incredibly appetizing. The pink pork chashu is thick and tender, and the fried shredded burdock on top is a highlight, crispy and fragrant. The shredded onion and cilantro make the overall dish less heavy. Classic Soy Sauce Chicken Ramen (4th photo) The broth is slightly clearer than the shellfish broth, with a more pronounced traditional soy sauce flavor. Ishihara Orchard in Okayama offers grape picking in summer and pear picking in autumn. It is a fun experience for kids to pick grapes. There are many varieties of grapes available. The farm entrance fee is 1,000 yen per adult and 750yen per child. They will explain the different types of grapes and provide a tasting pack. Afterward, you can pick grapes and purchase them by weight; it is not an all-you-can-eat option. I enjoyed the beautiful scene from the farm and kids enjoy the activity so much.
