Central Market Hall
[Trip Moment Delivery.🗞️] On this trip, I visited Budapest's iconic traditional market, the Great Market Hall (Nagyvásárcsarnok)! 🇭🇺🍅🧀 🛄ㅣA large market brimming with Budapest ingredients and aromas The Great Market Hall is an indoor market located at the end of Váci utca. Its impressive exterior features a grand brick building and glass roof. The moment I stepped inside, the aromas of various ingredients mixed together, creating a vibrant market atmosphere. The natural mix of locals shopping and tourists watching created a lively atmosphere. 🌿 The first floor focused on ingredients, while the second floor was filled with souvenirs and snacks. The first floor mainly sold everyday groceries like meat, vegetables, cheese, and paprika. The Hungarian paprika, in particular, was a feast for the eyes, with each stall displaying a different color. The vibrant colors of the fruits and vegetables allowed me to truly experience the market's vibrant atmosphere. Upon reaching the second floor, I found a long line of souvenir booths featuring embroidery products, paprika sets, and palinka. I also sampled local delicacies like goulash and langos at a small snack shop. 🛍️ A traveler's paradise: a fun stroll Prices were a bit higher than at a typical supermarket, but the layout offered a wide variety of options for tourists to explore, making it enjoyable to browse. It was a great place to take a break from your travels, offering both souvenir shopping and a stroll through the market. ✅️ | Travel Tips 1️⃣ This is a great place to shop for paprika, honey, and embroidery souvenirs. 2️⃣ The first floor focuses on grocery shopping, while the second floor focuses on souvenirs and snacks. 3️⃣ The Váci utca → Great Market Hall route provides a smooth flow. 📌 Location Nagyvásárcsarnok (Great Market Hall) Budapest, Hungary 🇭🇺 #EuropeTravel #BudapestTravel #BudapestTourism #Budapest #Hungary
Castle Hill
Castle Hill in Budapest offers a historic atmosphere filled with ancient castles and breathtaking views of the Danube River. Strolling around here, you can admire the beautiful architecture without ever getting bored. History enthusiasts will especially love this place, as the site itself tells old stories and exudes a classic charm. It's truly a must-visit spot. Even just coming up here to enjoy the view is spectacular. This is one landmark you shouldn't miss in Budapest. Getting here is easy via tram lines 19 or 41, alighting at Szentháromság tér station. Entry fees for some areas range from 1,500-2,000 HUF (~150-200 THB), but simply walking around the area is completely free. 😀
Széchenyi Thermal Bath
I visited the Széchenyi Thermal Baths, Europe's largest thermal baths, the perfect way to relieve travel fatigue. The combination of the ornate Neo-Baroque architecture and the steaming outdoor baths made for a truly photogenic experience. 💡Tips for Making the Most of Széchenyi Thermal Baths * Main Outdoor Pools: Széchenyi consists of three large outdoor pools and 15 indoor thermal baths, but the highlight is undoubtedly the outdoor pools. The water temperature isn't as "hot" as in Korean hot springs, but rather lukewarm, slightly above body temperature, making it perfect for long soaks. There are also swimming lanes (swim caps required!) and a lazy river, making for a more enjoyable experience than just relaxing. * Grandfathers Playing Chess: One of the city's iconic sights! The sight of local grandfathers leisurely playing chess on a floating chessboard while soaking in the outdoor thermal baths adds a unique touch to Budapest's atmosphere. ⏰ Best Time to Visit * Morning Opening: Visit early in the morning before the tourist groups arrive to enjoy a relatively quiet swim and photo opportunity. * Night View: After sunset, the illuminated yellow buildings and the steam from the hot springs create a breathtaking nightscape that's not to be missed. 👙 Essentials🩴 To avoid long lines, it's essential to book your tickets online in advance. Also, be sure to bring your own swimsuit, towel, and flip-flops for moving around indoors and outdoors! (You can rent/purchase them on-site, but they're expensive.) The hot springs are said to be good for rheumatism and arthritis, so you can expect healing benefits that go beyond just a trip! Soaking in the warm hot springs in the chilly air of Budapest was the perfect ending to all the travel fatigue! #HungaryTravel #BudapestHungary #Hungary #Szechenyi Baths #TravelPlanning #OverseasTravel #EuropeTravel
Shoes on the Danube Bank
[Trip Moment Delivery.🗞️] On this trip, I visited Shoes on the Danube Bank, the quietest and most resonant spot on the Danube River in Budapest. 🇭🇺🥀 🛄ㅣA pair of shoes, each one lying quietly in the river breeze As you walk along the riverbank, there's a moment when your gaze naturally descends to the ground. There, worn leather shoes, small children's shoes, pumps, and shoes with untied laces lie quietly lined up. No flashiness, no explanation—just the way they are. Just standing before them leaves you speechless. 🌿 A place to remember those who disappeared from the riverside in 1944 These shoes are a sculpture created to commemorate the tragedy of Jews being shot and executed on the riverbank during the Nazi occupation of Hungary. Each shoe made of iron felt like a symbol, embodying the lives and weight of real people. The silence, with only the sound of the wind and the river, resonated even more deeply. 🥀 A place where the moment of silent observation itself becomes meaningful. This wasn't a place to visit just to admire the sights, but a place to linger for memories. Rather than taking photos, pause to gaze at the river, look at the artificial flowers and candles placed in front of the shoes, and reflect on the lives of those who stood there. That alone made the visit worthwhile. ✅️ | Travel Tips 1️⃣ This place is perfect for quiet appreciation, free from noise and jokes. 2️⃣ Candles and flowers are often placed, so please respect the scene. 3️⃣ It's close to the National Assembly, making it easy to get around on foot. 📌 Location Shoes on the Danube Bank Id.
