- Great location at the end of Lamai beach with a lovely view of both sand and beautiful boulders.
-There is a little beach bar just beside the hotel that provides spots to sit on a giant boulder, which is a great perch in the evening or for sunrise. It looks like there are paddle boards and snorkels for use at the hotel. It’s near to the Grandmother/father rocks and Lamai beach is perfect for swimming and walking.
- We loved the breakfasts, especially the delicious homemade croissants and pain au chocolate, along with fresh fruits changed daily and eggs to order. The Thai lunch options were also very good.
-Win and Naing were kind and warm and helped us with what we needed.
- The pool and frangipani tree, along with a variety of spots for lounging, including big covered round beds, created a chill atmosphere: so comfortable that were much lazier than we thought we’d be because we were so relaxed.
Tip: The rooms have only partial views and the best view is #8.
Note: Our room was a bit stuffy and the bathroom was a little dark and a little smelly, but definitely not too bad. The alley just outside the hotel is unlit and foul smelling, but a short walk away from some massage places and a few restaurants and bars.
In general, the property is well maintained but shows a bit of wear, including stained patio cushions and umbrellas and things like that, but just a touch of aesthetic upgrades are needed- it’s still a great beach resort, a very good value, and we’d be back again. Merci!
The moment I opened the room, the blue sea was right in front of me, and I fell in love with it. Watching the sea on the balcony, drinking juice, listening to music, blowing in the wind and wanting to do nothing else. The room is very clean and tidy. There is a swimming pool. The buffet is also very good. The hotel has direct access to the sea. Beach loungers and towels are all prepared for guests. It is very considerate. The sister at the front desk has a very good attitude. The waiters are also very polite. No Like other hotels, they ignore Chinese people. The sea in Lamai is much cleaner than that in Chaweng. Many people are swimming and there are many activities around the beach. It is a great stay experience and a five-star rating.
Hotel is good except one thing.
The stench from the bathroom drain has spread to the room, the bathroom is full of strong smell,and does so in room. It making us extremely unpleasant and almost uninhabitable. Despite notifying the front desk to address the issue, the situation remains unchanged and unresolved.

Accommodation by the sea, inexpensive, beautiful view, rooms with smart TV Netflix, youtube, very cool air conditioner. The room is very overpriced. But there is no breakfast here. In front of the hotel there is also a bar to sit and chill every day, very convenient.
Bad breakfast. Very few options of bakery and vegetarian. Beach not perfect for swimming..
Not recommended for people having knee pain..
Too much stair for movement..

Not a bad hotel for the money, we lived on the first floor, we almost never turned on the air conditioner because it was quite cold and so ... the breakfast is ordinary, there is not enough good coffee ... the location is convenient, everything you need is nearby. The staff is friendly, cleaning is regular

Garrya Tongsai Bay is a five-star luxury resort in Koh Samui that offers a relaxing experience from the moment you check in. The service is excellent, and you’ll feel well taken care of throughout your stay.
Rooms & Facilities:
The rooms are well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. However, the property is quite hilly, which might not be ideal for elderly guests or those with mobility issues.
Pools:
There are two pools on the property: a large main pool and a kiddie pool right by the beach, perfect for families. A second, more secluded pool—called the Half Moon Pool—is tucked away behind the kids club and is reserved for adults seeking a peaceful escape.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is a highlight, featuring fresh juices, seasonal fruits, a good balance of Thai and Western dishes, quality coffee and tea selections, and tasty pastries. The downside? The hash browns and sausages were a bit underwhelming.
Dining:
Meals are priced around 300–700 baht per dish. The taste can be hit or miss—while the burger was surprisingly good, some Thai dishes were just average. A great tip: visit during happy hour (6–7 PM daily) to enjoy a buy-one-get-one-free drink offer.
Beach & Location:
Don’t expect soft sandy beaches—this one is made up of coarse, rocky sand, so wearing shoes is recommended. The location is a bit remote, but the resort offers limited shuttle service to nearby Choeng Mon town.
Spa & Kids Club:
My husband tried the 90-minute signature massage and found it just okay, especially for the price. On the plus side, the kids club accepts children aged 5 and above without supervision—super helpful for parents looking to unwind.
Verdict: Met my expectation for 5 stars resort.
Garrya Tongsai Bay is perfect for travelers seeking peace, comfort, and attentive service. It’s great for couples or families—just be prepared for a bit of uphill walking.
