The area around the hotel seemed to be more of a business district with many companies, rather than a tourist spot. It's a bit of a distance from the city center, but it's within walking distance to the subway, and only one stop away from Kamppi, the city's central hub. You can enjoy sea views right from your bed; the beautiful scenery from the window was the biggest highlight of our trip and the main reason we kept extending our stay.
The only downside was the housekeeping, which was quite disappointing. Even though we extended our stay, a thorough daily cleaning should still be expected, shouldn't it? There were coffee stains on the mugs, dirty spoons weren't replaced, and even urine stains on the toilet seat...
Despite these issues, the value for money was still quite high. Helsinki truly stands out as the Nordic capital offering the best value for hotels, and I believe this hotel's excellent value significantly boosted my overall impression of the city.
Pretty decent hotel, comfortable bed and clean room! Breakfast spread was good! Very near the airport and offers free shuttle! Gym was excellent! About 30-45mins commute to the city for sightseeing but u can take the shuttle to the airport and then train to the city!
The hotel is not in the city center but it takes more than 20 minutes by bus, opposite is the forest. The room is on the first floor, the windows can be locked, there is no kettle, it may be borrowed at the front desk, the room is not large, the water heater may not be the conventional method of opening and closing, so I do n’t know if the phone came in at night and asked if I knew the front desk number Is n’t that because they do n’t use this water heater ... Breakfast is good and the sun is plentiful.
Friendly staff and close to the city with a 30-40 min bus ride to city centre. More importantly, the breakfast and shuttle bus to airport are available in early hours of the day, saving our cost
Very good hotel if you need a place close to the airport. It’s primarily a business hotel but it also has some leisure facilities such as sauna and indoor pool. Rooms are spacious and very very clean. It also has a restaurant and a bar with drinks and snacks and free shuttle service from and to the airport.

🇨🇳 Daxingshan Temple, also known as Junshan Temple, is a Buddhist temple of the Esoteric Buddhism sect, one of the eight major sects of Buddhism. Located in Chang'an, now known as Xi'an, this temple was built during the Western Jin Dynasty over 1,600 years ago. It served as an imperial temple during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The temple became a significant site for translating Buddhist scriptures when monks from India traveled to Chang'an to study and translate texts here. It is recognized alongside Da Ci'en Temple (home to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, which houses the Tripitaka) and Jianfu Temple as key locations for scripture translation.
Inside the temple, there are five golden Buddha statues, a statue of Guanyin, Budai (Maitreya), Bodhisattva Vajrapani, and many other sacred deities.

This 3 day itinerary weaves through Xi’an’s legendary cityscape, from historic towers to street food heaven and the serene Great Mosque. At night, the Bell Tower area lights up with dazzling views—catch the pulse of the city while soaking in centuries of culture just steps away!
Begin with a stay in an inn at the heart of the Muslim Quarter (Zen Courtyard Accommodation is so homely), before starting Day 1 at the iconic Xi’an Drum Tower (No. 74, North Courtyard, Lianhu District). Snap an insta-worthy nighttime shot of the geometric facade, especially with city traffic swirling past—the neon signs and moving cars add vibrant energy to evening photos! Afterwards, wander next door to the bustling Muslim Quarter (West side of Zhonggulou Square) where the labyrinth of lanes is foodie heaven. Must-try: the Chinese hamburger, paumorou, soup dumplings, biangbiang noodles, sizzling lamb skewers, osmanthus steam cake and crispy persimmon cakes. Be sure to explore in the early evening and night; the store lights and lanterns overhead creates beautiful, atmospheric images.
Venture deeper into Huajue Lane for the Great Mosque (No. 30, Huajue Lane)—a peaceful oasis amid the buzz. Marvel at unique Chinese-Islamic architecture, and capture those classic garden courtyards in soft AM/PM light. The entrance way and prayer hall offer timeless backdrops.
The next day, take an adventure daytrip to Qin Shihuang Mausoleum to marvel at the mysteries and incredible intricacies of the terracotta warriors and court, guardians of the underground imperial palace city, showcasing grandeur and artisan mastery of the Qin era. On Day 3, after more delicious brunch at Huimin Street, enter Xi'an's ancient City Wall through the South Gate and explore its length on foot or bicycle. Catch the red lanterns light up along the most intact ancient city walls in China, before heading down to the beautiful Ink Street to pick up Chinese calligraphy and other artisan art for souvenirs.
By the end, Xi'an wins over our hearts with its incredible history, cuisine and city charms.
**Tips:**
- The subway and shuttle bus are convenient ways to visit Qin Shihuang Mausoleum on your own. Give yourself at least 3/4 to a full day here, especially if you are visiting Lishan Garden for the Emperor's tomb and Bronze Chariots.
- Visit the Bell and Drum towers late afternoon or evening for dramatic city views and less heat.
- Start at the Mosque before 10 AM for quieter moments, then head for lunch in the Muslim Quarter. Jiasanlou on Huimin street is excellent for paumorou, soup dumplings and sesame noodles.
- Grand Tang Mall is best after sunset when lights and projections revive the golden era of Qin and Tang dynasties.
**Precautions:**
- Watch out for pickpockets in busy market lanes.
- Expect crowds—early starts and off-peak hours mean easier exploring.

🏨A Superb Stay at the Grand Hyatt Xi'an
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Xi'an during my recent trip to Xi'an, and it was such a pleasant surprise! The hotel is located in the heart of the High-tech Zone, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's about a 40-minute taxi ride from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, and it's right next to Exit B of the "Zhangba Yilu" station on Metro Line 6, making it super convenient to reach city attractions and nearby shopping malls.
🛏️The Room Was Amazing
My room was in a modern Chinese style, and even the basic room was 50 square meters, making it very spacious. Warm lighting, wooden furniture, and a touch of bright orange created a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable, significantly improving my sleep quality. The room also provided Balmain toiletries, showing attention to detail and a touch of luxury.
🍽️The Breakfast Was Abundant
The hotel's buffet breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, especially the "Xi'an Specialty Snacks" section, which was absolutely irresistible. There were also various fresh fruits, breads, and braised dishes—everything you could want. The coffee and tea were also excellent, providing plenty of energy for the whole day.
