麥克唐納諾伍德廳堂酒店(Macdonald Norwood Hall Hotel)

Recently stayed overnight for a wedding we were attending at the hotel. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. We received a free upgrade and the rooms were spotless. Breakfast the following morning was more than adequate with the option of a full scottish along with an array of food for a continental breakfast. I would have no hesitation staying at Norwood Hall again

Très bel et bon hôtel, beau et bon. Très classe, service excellent et qualité du petit déjeuner et du dîner excellent en qualité des produits et de la cuisine. Très propre et très beau décor. Chambre et salle de bain très belles et agréables.

Pity they didn't provide the little extras we expect from a 4* hotel such as bottles of water and biscuits with the tea tray but otherwise a very comfortable hotel, especially the room which was excellent. The staff are exceptional and go out of their way on every occasion to help you. We expect 4* breafast to be served from a menu but it was just a standard 3* pick what you want from the row of trays.

Loin de la folle , dans un cadre légèrement campagne. Une décoration typiquement Écossais un vrais régal. Notre chambre était très spacieuse ainsi que la salle de bain. Petit déjeuner copieux ( mais cette semaine là il n'y avais pas de lait végétal, dommage pour un tel établissement) . Par contre mettre le buffet dans le couloir en plein passage avec les chiens reste moyen .. Repas 10/10 et la première salle de restaurant sublile. Cadre des autres salles sublimes 🩷 Personnelles restaurant/ services 10/10 . Par contre l'accueil de l'hôtel côté réception manque légèrement de sourire 😉

Une véritable immersion dans l'ambiance feutrée et cosy d'un ancien manoir écossais. Personnel souriant, discret et efficace. Repas copieux et de qualité. Décor de la chambre très agréable ainsi que la vue sur le parc, les équipements sanitaires très propres. Une promenade dans le parc s'impose ou de nombreux arbres sont centenaires. Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre séjour.

The Lobby und Diningroom sind das Highlight, wie vor 100 Jahren und noch gut erhalten, das macht überwiegend das Charm des Hotels. ...und die Garten mit risiegen Pinienbäume. Das Zimmer war räumig, gut ausgestatt aber man konnte ein Geruch von Zigaretten merken (das Zimmer war Non-Smoking!), die Duschkabine war auch groß. Wir haben auch Abendbrot gegessen und wir waren zufrieden (Risoto und Lamb). Das Frühstück war ein Witz - ich sollte extra für eine Omlet 2,50 £ bezahlen!....wenn man 300-500£ pro Zimmer ausgibt....

Soggiorno di 2 notti in questa bellissima dimora vittoriana. Camera standard per due persone spaziosa e pulita in ala laterale Della dimora. Stupende Zona reception, corridoio e scalinata centrale ,sala ristorante e sala the’ e biblioteca. Personale gentilissimo e attento ad ogni esigenza. Colazione in una sala bellissima, ci sembrava davvero di essere dei principi ! Cibo dolce e salato a buffet molto buono ed abbondante. Cena deliziosa e regale nella sala ristorante principale accanto a camino. Una favola ! Esterno con vialetto d’ingresso molto Curato e principesco. Ottimo rapporto qualità’-prezzo!

my wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in May firstly the reception was good, efficient and polite we did ask about a possible upgrade but were told we have a deluxe room so we accepted that. the hotel is very nice with lots of old world charm such as panelling in the public rooms and grand staircase. the room we had was very good, clean and spacious. during our stay the staff were friendly and helpful at reception, the bar and restaurant. mostly we had a good stay but a few small points to note the bath tap come off during a bath. food and drink are very expensive £9 for a glass of prosecco! and my main meal in the restaurant was £26.50 - when you add the service charge this makes my single main meal close to £30 - the service and food were good as you would expect but prices are still high - we did compare other hotel/restaurant menus. the first morning the breakfast was not good - it was almost cold, small portions, the bacon was overcooked and the sausage burned and only one tea bag in a pot for 2 people! ( I also expected Haggis with a Scottish breakfast as most Scottish hotels have but this was not a problem) a £5 surcharge for eggs benedict - without cooked breakfast not in addition to a cooked breakfast these issues were mentioned to reception the lack of outside space to sit could be improved upon - there are photos in the hotel of parts of the garden when it looked good which are now sadly overgrown and neglected and although there are some nice trees and shrubs in the garden around these were full of ****s and untidy - this is at the main entrance/drive/ car park areas which is what you first see when you arrive. would we stay again - maybe but we would go somewhere else to eat and drink as there are numerous places nearby
