椋鳥雲 - 阿伯里斯特威斯馬斯頓旅館(Starling Cloud)

This was my fourth return visit to this hotel which is always clean and supported by friendly staff. The accommodation block is set across the car park from the restaurant/pub which means you are not disturbed by noise in the evenings. You can access the hotel without going through the one way system in Aberystwyth if you wish but the centre is still within very easy walking distance. Will be coming again no doubt.

staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. the food at Starling is great for any meals. the bed was comfy, room service was 10/10, they had a nice spread of coffees & teas and biscuits for us. the room was extremely clean.

Until about 10 years ago I used to stay in Aberystwyth regularly, for business and it was always a bit of a lottery finding good reasonably priced accommodation. So I was pleasantly surprised to find how good the Starling Cloud was. It provided exactly what was promised with no unpleasant surprises.

Booked 2 seperate dates within the same week, unfortunately when we arrived for the 2nd night the member of staff could not find a booking for us, eventually given pass for a particular room which was already occupied !!!! After another visit to reception it was sorted , neither had he booked us in for breakfast but thankfully the lovely welsh girl on duty in the morning sorted us out. Have stayed here many a time without problems previously

Having driven for almost 5 hours, it would have been useful to know in advance that the adjacent pub connected with the hotel doesn't serve food after about 20.00. Barman helpfully directed me to a local pub still serving food. Rooms are basic, clean and functional. Breakfast was not great, sausage, egg and bacon were tasteless, suggest buying local produce?

Did not go because my car broke down. The hotel wouldn't give me a refund as I booked on the day. I could not change the booking either, (Ts & Cs and all that!!!) so wouldn't intend staying there again!!!
