沖浪站(Surf Station)

Wonderful and supportive staff. Cosy and big room with a comfortable bed. Amazing and breathtaking view from my balcony. Loved the healthy bread in the morning. Refreshing, large pool. Thank you for the hospitality, Avi & family. I hope to see you all next year!

Unfortunately we have had a very disappointing experience at Surf Station. We were charged a very high price on *********** whereby we booked of both the reviews and the photos. However the reviews are clearly based on a much lower rate than we got. We paid the same price as a luxuary hotel, yet got a hostel. We had paid for the “Deluxe Suite with Sea View”. We were not given this room & given a downgraded room. When we pointed this out, the manager, Sadith said we could be moved tomorrow as someone was in that room. So they sold the room twice at the higher price? They did not move us & the room was occupied by other people. Then came breakfast, great in the photos advertised. In reality, a small offering of fruit, followed by white toast and poached eggs. No sign of the fewest or the delicious pancakes in sight. No sign of the juice advertised. No water offered. Coffee (instant placed into a cafetière or tea was offered). No alternative milk offers either (obvs usually wouldn’t necessarily expect this, but for the price we paid). When I pointed this out to the manager, he informed us that the photos were from the previous team in January. So why weren’t the photos updates and why were we sold something that no longer exists? Breakfast was so bad we ended up paying twice and eating elsewhere or missing it all together. I raised our disappoin**ent to Sadith on day one (day two he was on a day off) and on day 3, he was understanding and could see why we were disappointed. Sadith informed us he would speak to the owners. Upon check out we were offered a 10% discount. The room rate difference to what we paid and the room we received was more than this, let alone the breakfast. An absolute kick in the teeth. We finally left with a 20% discount after having to push for it. I would like to point out. The staff are all lovely, professional and hard working and this clearly wasn’t their fault. This is our time complaining regarding a hotel that we have stayed at. Were laid back, always more than happy to pay what we signed up for (though we did not receive what we paid for, not even the “deluxe room” & we always tip well. It’s been a massive disappoin**ent. If you get this hostel for a cheap price, then we’d reccomend it. But if you get it for the £478 for 4 nights we paid, then it’s way overpriced. And ignore the photos and the room paying for. Will try and post some photos of what is advertised and what we got so you can check when/if you book. Obviously , I will update this review if there are any changes. Though management don’t seem to care with the 10% insult.

Really great hotel. Spacious, clean comfortable room with good shower room. We loved the balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. We even saw stilt fishermen and a garder scaling the enormous coconut palms in the hotel next door. We ate there one night and food and service was good. Would recommend

Really enjoyed our time at ocean crest. Great Sri Lanka hospitality - good food, clean rooms and grounds and the staff accommodated our every request which is what you need with a young family. Good location. Thanks for a great time guys

A villa like small hotel. Perfect location right on the beach. Super helpful staff were always assisting us. Comfortable well equipped room with amazing ocean view. Very busy road on the other side so walking by beach / tuk tuk's are quite mandatory. We had a wonderful stay at Ocean Crest Hotel.

Perfect location for surfers just in front of the spot "Fish Sticks". The hotel is very nice and the service was great. We'll come back!

Surf station is an ideal place to stay for your vacation in Sri Lanka. Perfect place to chill, learn to surf and meet new people. 

 Room was clean and spacious with a great view of the pool and the see. Food was excellent and great location with all you need right near

. The thing that stood out the most to me was how amazing the people were that worked here, They make sure 24/7 you have everything you need and are the friendliest people ever. Thank you Avi, Katia and little Elia ♥️

Nous y avons passé une semaine et je pense que c'est une des endroits que j'ai vraiment préféré. L'équipe est juste parfaite. Prévenants, adorables, un gros gros gros coup de cœur pour tout le personnel qui a rendu cette semaine parfaite. Le petit déjeuner et les dîners sont délicieux. La chambre est grande, belle salle de bain et la vue... Que ce soit depuis la chambre ou depuis la piscine, la vue sur le spot de surf est fantastique. Petit plus, une tortue qui vient régulièrement nager devant l'hôtel et à 18h10 tapante, des perroquets arrivent tous les soirs sur les cocotiers. Je ne peux que conseiller cet endroit que j'ai vraiment adoré
