We called ahead to confirm our reservation and they told us our reservation did not exist. After asking them to check again, they continued to tell us we were booked for the previous day (which we had revised our reservation). After several attempts, they finally found our reservation but then while checking in, they sent us to the wrong room (standard) despite having us pay for a King Suite. Since this was a repeated mistake, we asked to speak with the property manager who shrugged it off and said “oh well.” When we explained that we have a toddler traveling with us and it was a hassle switching rooms after settling in, he said “it’s not that hard,” which given that this person has no idea what challenges us or any parent may be dealing with is extremely insensitive. To which, he said “you got your room,” and continued to mock our difficulties. We are not upset by the room mix up, it was inconvenient but an understandable mistake. However, we felt the manager’s crude approach to our issue was over the top.

Staying at the El Vado Motel was a nice surprise. The facility was clean and aesthetically pleasing, the bed was very comfortable and the accommodations were better than expected. We found a great restaurant nearby for dinner and the bagel place across the street was fantastic. We would definitely return. Most of the adjoining shops were closed due to the season. Will look forward to those if we visit again.

The rooms were super clean and comfortable. We loved everything about our room. It’s in a perfect spot. Nice taproom and little shops.

Love the Route 66 motel vibe. We went during a cold snap and in the off season so most of the are shops were closed and the restaurants had limited hours. Would love to come back during the summer

Cozy and clean. Heater worked great, kept us toasty all night. Mattress is memory form and sooo comfortable. Will revisit again.

Decent property with excellent aesthetic design choices. However it was lacking in attention to detail as far as cleanliness is concerned and some of the room amenities were in poor repair.

The highlight of this hotel was the incredible shower and check-in staff; upon issues with the card, Maria took care of it very promptly to ensure that we checked in with minimal problems. Those showers are INCREDIBLE, if you are looking for a place to stop and relax in a comfortable environment, then this is the place.
