It took over an hour for check in, as the front desk person during the overnight shift was rude and incompetent (based on me having to call ********** and having them verify my stay). He informed me of a 50 incidental hold and charged 60. He was also trying to get me to double pay for my room and had no concrete rates, he kept saying I’ll charge about this or about that, although as a person who frequents hotels, I assumed rates were set. I asked for a receipt after the hold charge, he said they don’t do revisits. I finally get to my room and there are no towels. I call the same person to ask if towels can be brought upstairs when housekeeping arrives and he said we would only get towels if we pick them up from the front desk. I went and got them, and had to ask for them piece by piece because he didn’t give me a full set for two. Never apologized for any inconvenience, for the delay or for his poor attitude. Topping things off, there was a roach in the room, which I killed and removed, because it was pointless to reach out to him with the knowledge that he wouldn’t be helpful.
Positives: the view from the room was nice and the bedding was comfortable.
