雪丹旅館(Snow Denn Lodge)

The lodge provided a convenient and comfortable base for our trip. The location is ideal - it's an easy walk to the supermarket, restaurants, and the shuttle bus pickup for Mt Hutt skiing. The lodge itself is quiet and relaxed. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We booked a room online and checked in on the day. It wasn't too difficult since we did come within operating hours of the reception. The lodge has a large kitchen and dining area as well as a loft upstairs for games and other entertainment. there was also a drying room under the stairs and a shed by the carpark for skis and boards. The location is quite nice since it was a bit away from the main road so it wasn't particularly busy but the carpark was quite full. It was easy enough to walk around Methven from the lodge. The rooms were cosy and tidy, as were the bathrooms. Even though it seemed to be full, it was really quiet, which was nice. There are multiple entrances which require the key fob to enter after hours. There is an intercom as well for communication as well as a mobile number in case of emergencies. We did end up using it to be let back in after leaving the key in the room while packing the car the following day.

The couple that run this cute small lodge at methven are amazing. Attention to detail, spotlessly clean and so friendly. She (sorry can't remember her name) told us about the hot pools and off we went. We would never have looked for them. Such a great experience. I would definitely recommend staying at this great lodge and will be back

Lovely 3 nights spent at the lodge, rained the whole time and couldn’t get out to do my planned itinerary so spent a lot of time inside- the owners are friendly and chatty, kept the fire lit and roaring throughout, facilities were cleaned daily despite it only being me and a handful of others staying, hot showers with great water pressure, close to all cafes and shops, comfy beds, warm rooms- great place to stay, will return one day in the sunshine!!

This was our second trip to Snow Denn and we had another enjoyable stay. The owner is very friendly and helpful and it was great to see how much her young child had grown since our visit last year. Our boys were happy to be back. The kitchen and bathroom were nice and clean and the other guests friendly and quiet. Nice central location, very near to both supermarkets and in town eateries. All very short walking distance.
