阿爾恩阿尼克青年旅舍(Alnwick Youth Hostel)

This was a weekend away for myself and my mother. The hostel is centrally located for attractions in Alnwick as well as public transport connections. The hostel has plenty of facilities. Helpful staff. Will be making a return visit sometime.

This is one of the nicest hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Really friendly welcome, and the hostel is really cosy and welcoming on a winters night. My en suite room was lovely, toasty warm and really comfortable. The hostel lounge is the comfiest I’ve come across anywhere and has lovely big sofas, games, TV, just perfect. Similarly the hostel kitchen is spotlessly clean and really well equipped. Can’t wait for my next visit. No need to bring the car, as immediately outside the hostel regular buses run to Berwick, Newcastle, Morpeth and the coast!

Shame about unruly posh children as this is a lovely hostel where I’ve stayed many times before . Running up and down the corridor all night these posh brats and their parents who couldn’t give a damn about the comfort and wellbeing of other people staying at the property

The best hostel! Location, facilities, good price, friendliness, games room and outlook are second to none in the country. Thank you Kirsten, Lindsey, Max and all staff for a spotless, warm roomed, suprr clean, total ensuites weekend stay. We all enjoyed your beautiful place and there was nothing to fault. Converted many minds to hostelling and to Northumberland. Thank you and to Alnwick, Alnmouth and Northumberland.

Our friend hired the hostel for a weekend and we were privileged to be invited to join their house party. The venue was clean , comfortable and warm. We had an ensuite room with 2 bunk beds, with plump pillows and clean linen ! Plenty of space for guests to relax, enjoy a game of pool, etc. Lovely courtyard too. Kitchen was clean , spacious and had a variety of pots, pans crockery and utensils to conjure up a delicious meal / hearty breakfast. Close to other attractions such as Alnmouth beach, Alnwick gardens and Banter Books !

We stopped at the youth hostel during a TET ride and couldnt be more impressed. They allowed us to secure our 5 motorbikes in the court yard, the room was comfortable and warm and the breakfast was amazing. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We loved staying here. The facilities and staff are great. Huge dining room, two games rooms with table tennis, pool, table football and a lounge, kitchen and good sized bedrooms/family rooms. Kirstin runs a community cafe once a week and bakes all her own cakes which were so nice. Our only criticism is a lack of parking, but that is down to their neighbour who parks his own vans there for days despite it being 2 hours 8 until 6 pm. If you can get a space you can park 4 pm to 10 am. Buy a £1 disc to park in the town.

Perfect larger youth hostel with wide range of facilities. Great staff. Well equipped kitchen and good sized dining room. Cooked breakfasts available. Fantastic location in centre of historic Alnwick and short trip to Northumberland’s stunning beaches. Handy car park next door. Will be staying again.

Stayed for two night in a 4-bed room with my two children. Everything was perfect. The room and en-suite bathroom were spotless, the bed comfortable and to my surprise very quiet so I slept very well despite being a light sleeper. The games room with pool and ping pong table was the highlight of the stay for my son. The children also enjoyed the cooked breakfast, whilst I made use of the fully equipped kitchen to make my own. Staff was helpful and friendly. The free car park nearby very handy. We had a perfect stay and would love to come again in future. Thank you
