佩斯塔納達馬若昂二世別墅及海灘度假酒店(Pestana D. João II Beach & Golf Resort)

Excelente e completo de serviço, mesmo numa época baixa em que se poderia supor uma diminuição na qualidade e disponibilidade de serviços. Antes pelo contrário!! Amabilidade e disponibilidade total, assim como o funcionamento das instalações. Uma experiência a repetir, talvez numa outra época do ano.

Super hôtel

The hotel has a lovely position right on the edge of the ocean. The grounds and pool area are immaculate and well cared for. The gate at the bottom or the gardens lead to the beach and walkways. The 2 outside pools were too cold to use in November although some hardy souls did brave a dip. There was also a gym which was well equipped. The room we had was a good size with a balcony that looked out on the car park and road and out over Alvor. The air con/ heating worked well when needed. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms were kept immaculately clean. A safe was provided as standard and there was a decent fridge. Coming out of the lift on each floor, there were chairs and a settee where people could sit and watch the ocean and the sunsets, read or play cards or join with other guests for a chat. The piece de resistance of the stay was the breakfast buffet. Everything you could possibly want was available - cereals, breads, pastries, cheese, hams, fresh fruits, yogurts, freshly cooked eggs to order and full cooked breakfast items. Fruit juices, Spumante and 3 coffee machines took care of refreshments. We were lucky enough to be able to sit outside for breakfast every morning. Staff were always approachable and helpful and the whole place was very welcoming. Would definitely return to this hotel if coming to Alvor and would recommend it highly.

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful golf setting. Clean hotel, excellent catering, friendly service, pleasant prices. We will definitely be back. Beach maintained every day. We were extremely satisfied. We played golf courses Gramacho, Pinta, Silves, Alto, Faldo, O'Connors jnr, and Academy night golf. All wonderful.

Came to Alvor for a family holiday. Decided to stay at the Dom Joao II. Staff and trainees are genuinely amazing! Couldn’t do enough for you. Perfect and personable service. Hotel is in a beautiful setting, lovely breakfast and rooms very comfortable. Would recommend again and again! Thank you for making our stay so lovely!

Its clean and functional but a few niggly problems - beds are extremely hard Wifi is woeful keeps dropping out and you cannot connect a kindle ( been there 3 times and wifi has been terrible twice and off under repair once !) breakfast is edible but not top quality. Also you now have to pay by card for everything which may suit tge hotel but not necessarily clients ! Definitely looking around for a new hotel in future

We had a really relaxing holiday in your hotel last week. We found all the staff really helpful and were extremely helpful. The cleaners on our floor 326a were so good always kept tgere job done. We found Mafalda very efficient at her job and indeed all staff were really good. We hope to return next year.

Great looking hotel but getting tired. Gardens and swimming pool well looked after. The hotel clients seemed to be mainly from Ireland with a more than generous helping of golfers in stag groups. As we knew this is a golfing holiday centre but noisy and drink affected society members have little respect for others who are on holiday. Avoid room 2008, almost shared with the outdoor public veranda and it's associated inebriated golfers and smokers. Do not expect coffee and tea facilities in the room, they charge 10 euros to borrow a kettle and you buy your own coffee and teas.. A service charge of 10% is made on all purchases over the bar and restaurant and is only shown on your receipt. If you have a Pestana discount card it gives you 10% off but is then taken back on the service charge, ridiculous. There are not a lot of local options for dining and entertainment, maybe the Red Rib is the nearest. I cannot recommend this hotel to ordinary holiday makers without a set of golf clubs. purchases (service charge) shown on till receipts.
