Everything about this place is fantastic, the location, the character, the room, comfy bed, the food, the wine, the cocktails and the service. I cannot fault it.

Brilliant place to stay. Such wonderfully attentive staff, nothing was too much for them, they would go out of their way to make your experience the best. Food was brilliant, credit to the kitchen team.

Excellent and quick service, great drinks menu and lovely food. Highly recommended. Nicely priced and it is altogether a lovely place to visit. Honest and nicely cooked food with a wide selection of choices. It is a local gem. Thank you for the lovely times

The quintessential English pub and pub stay! Absolutely perfect in every way. Located in the stunning Lake District in the tiniest but most perfect village. Even better, dogs are welcomed with treats

Visiting the wonderland Hawkshead for the 2nd time this week, it really is a beautiful place. We decided to visit the Queen’s Head and we were not disappointed. Mhaela looked after us well. Good variety on the menu. Food was well presented and tasty. It’s good to be in a traditional pub. We really enjoyed our lunch and would definitely recommend and will return

Every table appeared reserved asked if we could sit at any told it was fully booked and to look at the sign, what sign it just said fully booked but didn't say the pub could have been the hotel, found a free table the barman ran off to get someone to tell us it was full, we were told to sit there by a lady as it was free! Had a very mediocre meal then when paying I said I couldn't see what the card reader said, barman said the big tick is usually a giveaway, such rudeness won't be using the pub again!

Great Hotel / Pub in the heart of the Lake District - well situated for many centres - Windermere ( by road or Ferry) - Coniston, Ambleside in a small village - close to Hill Top ( Beatrice Potter original house) Part of a small group - with the Mason’s Arms located to the East of Lake Windermere - excellent views but an isolated site. Rooms in the Queens Head & in an adjacent cottage ( 3 rooms). Very friendly & helpful staff - free parking provided close to hotel. Food good .

Great food - after an 8 mile hike through sun rain mud and more mud we arranged our evening meal to a late lunch without any issues - the staff were great and the food was excellent and more than value for money - it’s a pub that needs a make over however the atmosphere is great even though the decor is a little tired

We called here for lunch while in Cumbria, lovely place, staff were very friendly and helpful, we had two amazing home made Pizzas, which were delicious, the beer was great and the prices very competitive, we will definitely be returning, thank you
