安博塞利塞麗娜旅遊旅館(Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge)

Not sure if he was the general manager or head of the reception was not accommodating at all like he did not want guests there despite a receptionist was willing to assist The GM had like a stone face !

The hotel is amazing. Sadly the pool was under maintenance but lovely property nonetheless. Super helpful and courteous staff. Shoutout to Noah (at the bar), Yvonne (at the restaurant) & Chef Richard & Jeramiah for being so hospitable. One drawback would be not having a bidet (jet spray) in the washroom. Indian’s are only used to cleaning after their bathroom use with water. Please accommodate.

hôtel à recommander, personnel très sympa chambres ok déco originale mais sans climatisation. Repas délcieux, pas de service à table mais un buffet avec un très grand choix. Il y a beucoup de groupes de voyageurs dans l^hôtel parfois c'est un peu bruyant. Il faut absolument demander une chambre avec vue sur le Amboseli National Park.

First stop over from Nairobi. It is a long bumpy drive, but a beautiful location. A mid level lodge with fairly small semi self contained rooms but with beautiful views from the porch at the rear of the room. Comfortable bed with mosquito netting, staff spray at night. Basic bathroom, with walk in shower, desk, safe and some storage. Laundry services are available, safe and money exchange Pretty reception at entry, with meeting area and small shop. Food was served in one restaurant. Meals were buffet, but pretty good with plenty of selection. A lot of large tour groups use the hotel but it is quiet at night. Bar area open to outside and again with beautiful views. Nice pool and beautiful grounds, with monkeys as an added extra. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the wait staff in the restaurant and bar were exceptional. Masai "club" door keys are an interesting novelty. Very hard to lose or misplace. .Amboseli is one of the best National Parks we saw, with an abundance of animals, beautiful scenery, including a lot of swamp land that attracts hoards of elephants, hippo, rhino and buffalo, but also lions and cheetahs. Of course there is also Kilimanjaro, which, although there was very little snow, is still spectacular, especially when the clouds open up and at sunset and sunrise.

There is no way this overnight stay was worth the money. Its overpriced, overstated. The rooms are pokey and SO noisy. Mattress was comfy as too were the bed linens. Bathrooms are really small. They are in the park but are NOT ecofriendly at all. Food was plentiful, all buffet style, but mediocre standard. Service was ok at best but at breakfast, non existent. The lunch box was partly edible, definitely unimaginative and expensive for what was in it. The box itself was wrapped in clingfilm (no idea why) 2 apples (no idea why), small yoghurt, juice, piece of chicken, a chicken roll, cashews, chocolate bar, marble cake (delish), another filled roll that tasted awful, a pack of crackers ALL wrapped in clingfilm. I paid about 500$ for a double Fullboard and was 100% left wondering what I actually paid for or where the money goes. I would never reccomend Serena to anyone, nor return unless there was no other option. Very sad indeed as their location is perfect which is why I guess they can charge what they like and not back it up with A* service, spectacular food and a lodge with great fixtures and fittings. Security guard in the carpark was pleasant as too was the gentleman on the gate. And as we left, literally at the gate, about 70 cattle grazing. Funnily enough we did not pay 60$ to visit a premium park and see cows.

This is the start to a safari that you wish for ! Met at Emali train station by friendly drivers, ready for our two hour drive back to the lodge. The drivers knew their stuff, and made us feel safe and reassured. It became a bumpy ride, but that’s what’s it all about! The place itself has a swimming pool outside, which we didn’t use. But the back drop took my breath away. You are in the middle of nowhere, and it’s stunning and peaceful. The food here was good. The accommodation is simple, but the decor and little touches make the place. Thank you for having us.

Dei 3 lodge in cui abbiamo dormito questo è stato sicuramente il piu' anonimo ma non per questo non apprezzato, altro! E' pieno di scimmiette e dormire all'interno del parco a pochi metri dagli animali e sentirne i rumori è un'esperienza unica.
