Das Hotel ist von der Metro zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Lage ist sehr schön, mit ein paar Minuten Fußmarsch kommt man in die Stadt die wirklich wunderschön ist. Vieles ist nur 1-2 km entfernt so das man keine Bahn braucht.
Die Zimmer sind wirklich sehr klein, wenn man auf Toilette sitzt als großer Mann bekam man die Tür gerade noch zu weil die Knie im Weg waren. Zu zweit drin oder mit Kind funktioniert nicht. Die Sauberkeit naja da muss ich wirklich ein Punkt abziehen, trotz dessen waren wir mit allem zufrieden und würden auch nocheinmal dort einchecken.

Besides the very thin walls (meaning, I can hear the 'pleasant' noises from the neighbors across the hall when at a low decibel) and the super narrow stairs, I enjoyed my stay. I came back for a second time a week later- but I will say, it is overpriced. Didn't have the food there, but the receptionist staff (2:3) were super helpful!!! The bridge was closed to traffic so you did have to go around or from the Amstel bridge. Narrow rooms and very narrow bathroom (for a country with the tallest people, not sure why our legs have to be in the bedroom when going to the bathroom). The location can't be beat!

Basic hotel but clean and room cleaned daily. Location is superb. Staff helpful. Be a daily comfy. Shower good. Would stay again based on location - this is perfect for a base so you can go out exploring. Good value for money.

L'hôtelier a refusé de me rembourser ma réservation alors que j'avais dû annuler mon voyage pour raison médicale. Je lui ai écrit mais il ne m'a jamais répondu. En revanche il a bien gardé l'argent... Voilà un comportement bien peu recommendable.

It seems like the hotel was trying to scam us or something. I wanted to fly to Amsterdam on easter weekend. Knowing that the prices would be very high, I booked a room at this hotel many months in advance for a total of 366€. Shortly before the stay the hotel cancelled the reservation, claiming my credit card could not be authorized twice. This seemed weird to me since the limit of my credit card wasn't nearly exhausted. I immediately called the hotel and asked the staff to repeat the authorization and provided two additional credit cards. Jelena from reception told me that the hotel was overbooked for that weekend and first tried to get us booked into their sister hotel closeby but after that didn't work she then assured me that our reservation would be kept in the system. It seemed very weird to me that coincidentally the weekend the hotel was overbooked my credit card was denied for the first time ever. So I called the credit card company and they told me that no such authorization was issued, leading me to believe that the problem might be hotels system. So I called the hotel again and talked to Sujip, who first claimed that the authorization was denied once than he changed his mind saying it was 4 times and then said he wasn't able to find Jelena's reservation in the system so he is not able to tell me which of my credit cards was denied, how often that happened and if there even is a room for us. He told me to call again at 10am the next day, so I could speak with the manager. When I called the next day the receptionist told me that I can not speak to the manager because even though it was his shift, he is never around and so won't be able to call me back. Very weird. Then the receptionist told me he could reinstate my reservation but it would cost 1005€ because the rate went up. This is just rude considering they had no reason to cancel the initial reservation in the first place. Finally I just booked a different hotel, which unfortunately is more expensive than the initial rate, however as expencted the credit card works just fine. Which leads me to believe that all of this was just a ruse to get more money. In any case the employees were extremely unprofessional and very rude.

Preferisco non fare recensioni negative per non elogiare il posto in cui sono andato anche quando non mi sono trovato bene, ma qui c è da fare un eccezione. Alloggio in questa struttura 4 notti, 3 delle 4 nella camera E109, CAMERA subito prima della reception, a parte trovare in armadio bottiglie di plastica vuote e usate, per la pulizia quasi nulla da dire, ma le lampadine le vogliamo mettere per dar luce alla camera? Poi corridoio rumoroso, di notte alla reception si sente parlare e ridere ( non è giusto sapendo che accanto si dorme!). Cambiata camera un pò meglio, dovevamo lasciarla alle 11, siamo scesi alle 11:56, morale della favola? 1 ora di ritardo, ci hanno fatto pagare 10 euro!!! Per ogni ora che si rimaneva. Siate corretti!!! Di viaggi ne ho fatti, ma mai nessuno per un pò di ritardo si sono fatti pagare una maggiorazione. Ad Amsterdam ci ritornerò sicuramente, ma non da voi, nella vostra struttura. P.s. quando si bussa per entrare bisogna aprire subito, ci avete fatto attendere 15 minuti al freddo perché non eravate alla reception, per prendere le valigie. Buone cose.

Very handy location. Peaceful, yet within easy access to everything. Only 30mins in total with tram/metro (350m walk) +train to the airport! Stairs are very steep, not for people with difficulties to walk, for us okay. No mini-fridge, which would be very much needed as no restaurants or mini-markets in immediate distance.

Small room, steep narrow stairways, but well located and affordable. It is located directly on a canal which has small houseboats.

I Had a great stay in this hotel. Easy and near access to the centre of town. A very quiet sourounding. Friendly staff and a clean hotel. I highly recommend hermitage hotel, Amsterdam.
