Anglesea Riverside Motel

The Angelsea Riverside Motel is a good place to stay to break your journey along the Great Ocean Road. Whilst we only spent one night at the Riverside, we could see that a longer stay so as to explore this part of the coast would work. The staff are friendly welcoming and helpful. We would certainly look at a repeat stay should we be in the area again.

The receptionist was just lovely and the motel is cute and well maintained and very clean. The interior decor had that homage to mid-century and lifted the overall accomodation. Omg the shower pressure was unbelievable! So good - made for a great shower experience. The carpet probably needs updating as has stains - even wood look floor would do the job. Overall happy with our stay.

Average motel in the area, abit dated. Rooms were spacious, we got 2 rooms connecting so it was good for a family of 4. Got most of the stuff you need for a one night stay. No kitchenette, only a microwave is available. I find the room a bit dim at night. Parking available on the property.

Hotel in great location close to shops, restaurants and beach. Room has been updated but bathrooms are still original but clean. Bathroom could do with some towel hooks and a small table to put items on as there is no bench space. Otherwise fine. Our room was quiet, away from the road. Great Palm Springs style gardens. Lovely staff too.

Comfortable room, clean and well-provisioned. Positioned perfectly opposite the river and beach as it is walking distance to everything in Anglesea and easy (and scenic) driving to everything else in the area. This is our second stay and we would return whenever we can.

Horrible hotel room with dirty carpet and disinfectant smell. Bathroom with brown 1970’s look and probable since then nothing been changed. Ridiculous price paid (325 AU dollar) for what you get. We left the room for what it was and booked a beautiful b&b close-by for half the price. Strongly advise to search for another location nearby as Anglesea is absolutely not the place to be.
