Over charged for the rooms, floor was dirty in the room, pool was freezing

The breakfast was what we expected and changed daily. The attendant, I believe his name was Angel, was awesome. Great to talk to, and very attentive and helpful. The part that was less than favorable, trying to take a shower in our room was nearly impossible with the water pressure. At times it was barely dripping out of the shower head. I understand low water pressure, but this is a far worse issue. Also, the hot tub water was so low, it wasn’t able to circulate so nothing was getting filtered.

Every door slams closed which happens throughout the entire night. The caulking in the bathroom was a mess which made it look like the cheap showerhead would fall on me at any moment. The AC unit couldn't operate for more than 5 min before it had to turn off and made a flushing noise throughout the night.

Check-in was listed as 3 pm. Our room when we checked in was not ready until close to 4 pm. It had not been cleaned. Staff was courteous, but we were left waiting in the lobby until the room could be cleaned. Room was dirty. We found a towel and a candy wrapper under the bed.

After reserving, I read some negative reviews. I was pleased that I did not have any issues during my stay here. The room was clean, staff seemed friendly. This location is approximately 15 minutes, at the most, away from U of M, and I didn't need to get on the highway. Obvious repairs were made, but care was not taken to match paint color or finish placing the molding especially in the batroom.

When we got there we were told that we did not have a reservation. The staff member went into the system to check and realized that it was the hotel's mistake. She not only gave us a room but upgraded it at the same charge as we would have had for the original reservation. So staff at check in was More than excellent, but the administrative part was not, given that the reservation was not on the books!

Staff at front desk was unwelcoming & not helpful. I needed a luggage cart because I bring a very large & heavy oxygen concentrator.to breath, in addition to o2 tanks. The girls @ the front desk said the carts were upstairs being used. The carts were not returned to lobby for us to use. My sister had to make several trips to the car. The hotel smells of Glade plug ins. The TV & refrigerator did not work! Desk clerk in the morning was very nice & brought us up coffee because there was none in the room. I am a frequent visitor to U of M hospital & I will never sya at 1 of your properties again. Room was dirty too!
