Best Western Dundee Invercarse Hotel

Great location and view to relax but nothing much to do there

Rolig område. Flott uteplass på forsiden av hotellet. Reint og god service på rommet. Alt fungerte på rommet. Ok dusj og seng. God varm skosk frokost og hyggelig bar med sittegrupper.

Room so small , bed jammed against the wall so I had to slide down the bed ,bearing in mind we are in our seventies, air-conditioning units going all night long ,tiny window looking out onto a blank wall , television on the wall to the side of the bed as the result we had a crick in our necks just watching the TV ,considering what we paid breakfast was not included ,if we wanted breakfast we would have to pay another £27 , the room is more suitable as a single room

First night at 4.45am a member of staff entered my room believing the room was unoccupied. From then I struggled with lack of sleep over the two day business trip as a result. A staff member did say sorry when I raised this for an explanation. For them the room was showing unoccupied so for them the matter was over with no other mention of the instance over my two day stay. Checking out , my receipt wasn’t ready but was sent on to me after I called to ask again for it. I experienced a very impersonable service overall so it’s elsewhere next stay for me in Dundee . The staff did give me access to the car charging on site when I enquired, but it never worked for my car and I decided to put the whole stay overall down to a bad experience. No discount, token gesture coffee or pint at the bar. I guess this may be something for them that’s happened in this hotel more than a few times. Normal perhaps for them but not for myself being woken with someone entering your room while you sleep. The service follow up I experienced resulting from this unfortunate innocent happening I feel should have been handled much better as other hotels elsewhere do in my experience of travelling, Handed better I would stay again but as it was not it gives me the impression that hotel doesn’t go the extra mile to ensure any customer would some day return or advise others to stay with them from my experience while I stayed here.

It was Ok, but nothing special. The Hotel rooms are dated and the bathroom had evidence of leaks. It was clean enough though. For me the bed wasn't the most comfortable, but the worst thing was the constant air conditioning unit noise that we could hear all the time, which meant very little sleep. Breakfast was okay, but the gluten containing sausages were in the same server as the bacon....no good for coeliacs. Whilst I appreciate they were segregated within the tray, it's trusting people to not use the same tongs for both - which they don't!! That can make a coeliac very very ill.

I was dropping my son off for uni and needed a place to stay. When I was choosing on ********** the photos looked amazing. When we arrived, we found the photos were very accurate - extraordinary. However, what set it apart was the excellent location, outstanding view across the Tay and the warmth and friendliness of the staff!

I needed a place to stay after a very late finish on a business trip. It was a good place to crash my head; the bed was very comfy and the room had good tea and coffee facilities. I think if you were staying for longer than 2 nights with more than two people in the room, it could get a little cramped. I was a little concerned about the cleanliness of the bathroom as I did find a couple of dark short curly hairs in the bath and around the sink (mine is straight and blonde). The staff at reception were nice and efficient, and the ones at the bar in the evening were really friendly too.

Our second stay at this lovely hotel with its large mature garden and beautiful views across the water and hills beyond. Room was again spotless and very comfortable, staff welcoming and very helpful. My only criticism would be the menu could have more choices, my wife and I will definitely return when we book our next trip to Dundee.
