The park was very ordinary..the cabin had only the basics..1 cup and saucer only no spoons, enough towels but a pump pack of hand wash in the bathroom nothing else. Wouldn't stay there again..possibly a spot for long term residents.

There is a white cat here. Because recent weather is pretty chilling there, so it will sneak into your room for warmth. Please look after her.

Needs a good clean, kitchen was really dirty especially toaster, fridge and microwave. Room was dusty and smelt bad. Furniture was broken...chair and bookcase. No chair to sit on outside the room. Curtains were shabby and dirty. The bed was comfortable but the bedding was old. Access code for the kitchen which I couldn't make work. Outside was dated and nothing was maintained, a cat got in the kitchen ripped the carpet up and left a inch of hair on the window sill. I wouldn't stand on the carpet without jandals. No one was there when I arrived and staff weren't visible or friendly. I was tempted not to stay when I saw the state of the place but didn't like the chances of getting a refund.

The property is very run down and needs a good clean up. The towels were wet, there were dirty cups provided and nothing really felt clean. Carpets need a clean as they are smelly. I had booked two nights but could not stay the second. It was disappointing.

Staff were not available when we arrived to check in and were told to come back in an hour. Room had an overpowering smell from cleaning products. Facilities where to standard of camp ground

I made several phone calls and left messages if someone could contact me regarding an early check in. I had no replies to my messages and ended up staying elsewhere. And can't even get a refund!!!. Very disappointed.

The purpose of this review is to warn others from staying here. My partner and I booked a spot online and arrived one hour later. We had paid a deposit to ensure we had a spot. There were roadworks that blocked the entrance: believe me when I tell you there was absolutely no possibility of entering the campground. We learned that the roadworks are not all day, but they were in force when we got there, and NO mention from the campground warning us not to arrive after a particular hour. I wrote to them the next day, explained the above, and asked for a refund. I then wrote twice more over the next month. Not once was there any acknowledgement, and no refund has been issued. I would like to encourage people reading this review to instead stay where we ended up staying: it is far nicer. Invercargill Holiday Park & Motels at 77 McIvor Road.

Budget account showing its age but room was clean. Location was very good and close to town. Washing machines and dryers on site and in good order
