Hyatt was wonderful! All was good until my last night/day….the power kept going off and on. Don’t know why. Other than that the food was good at the lobby bar and at the Cinnabar. The ATM in the Lobby was not working though.

The booking was canceled even though I'd contacted hotel directly to let them know that I was going to be arriving on Monday instead of Sunday. I'd also tried changing this online but was unable to change online. I was able to book a 2nd room though once I arrived.

I have never had an issue staying at any Hyatt hotel before and usually do enjoy my stay. The staff was nice and room service came everyday but the room was small, dated (old) and dirty. Stains on curtains and carpets, and towels. Beds didn't have fitted sheets and were very uncomfortable and lopsided along with the very low loft pillows that felt like I was laying on nothing. Very small bathroom and room. Shower was awful. The water nozzle barely sprayed any water and is not removable. The lighting was terrible, too much light at night from the mirror in the bathroom that once shut off, turns into a bright blue night light that surrounds the entire mirror. It never shuts off no matter what. The bathroom door is glass and unlockable (no privacy) so the light would shine right through illuminating the entire room at night. Along with the light coming from the noisy hallway through 1/4'' crack in the door seam. Crystal city was very desolate, not a whole lot to do. Your surrounded by huge buildings being built by cranes (The only view) and are kind of limited to the hotel food, which was pricey but pretty good, except for the market across the street which I would stay away from. Valet parking ($45 a night) was good although they charged me twice. I would definitely stay elsewhere.

Families with children unable to use pool. Lifeguard allowing a group of 10 kinds without hotel pass to dive into the pool, using profanity, screaming, shouting. Unsafe for families and children who were forced out of the pool. The check in process was also slow. Had to wait for someone to come to the front desk. Called from the room to ask a question and was put on hold for 20 minutes. Finally gave up. Puddles of water randomly on the floor of the main lobby with no workers mopping it up. Servers/ bartenders at the restaurant talking trash about guests who left poor tips. Overall, a complete dumpster of a place. The only redeeming factor was proximity within Crystal City shops and dining.

Facility is super nice and front desk staff and management are tops. However, restaurants were way too limited. After 10pm could only order at downstairs bar and the hamburger was terrible. Also was surprised that there is no room service. Perhaps most disturbing was that there is absolutely no parking at the hotel and absolutely no place to park nearby. Therefore you must accept valet parking at $45 per day.

Room was not cleaned well A C unit fan made lots of noise. Pillows were extremely flat. Restaurant breakfast was not worth the price. Staff was friendly, but hotel wa less than expected
