Great value and clean - reception staff good bar staff Bob existent so went down the road to pub to spend my money! Recommended hotel despite this; if you like dogs you'd love it here!

Outdated, scruffy hotel and completely overpriced given the condition of the rooms and hotel generally. The showers were not working in two of the rooms and the water was stone cold. The double bed was more like a large single with a hard uncomfortable mattress and threadbare linens. The breakfast and the view were the only two good things about this hotel

Pleasant and clean with friendly staff. Decent breakfast, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while. Had dinner here too, food was nice. Would stay again if in the area.

The property will not suit some categories of travellers as the building is old and could do with some tlc. However, the food was good and plentiful although i would have liked to have seen Lorne sausage and fried eggs on the menu but i am sure had i asked for a fried egg one would have been cooked for me. Entertainment on Saturday night was quite good. Rooms could do with a bit if modernisation but otherwise it was fine. I am sure a lot if the hotel's bookings come from escorted coach tours. The view from the front of the hotel is amazing. If it were any closer to Loch Long you would get wet from the waves.
