The best hotel ever!!

We went to KENYA and TANZANIA in Nov 2023 on a 11 day tour to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. From SAFARI tours to Hotel stays, it was excellent and truly memorable experience. We visited the NAIROBI museum, toured the local City, stayed in Jungle lodges, experienced the sight of wild life, enjoyed our vegetarian meals and the great services in both Countries by the Tour operators. We crossed the new year into 2024 at Mount Meru Hotel with my family and overall had a good stay. The rooms were spacious with all the necessary amenities were provided, the main issue was that the cleaning was sub-standard. On two occasions we had to re-call housekeeping to come back and clean the room because there was dust in the corners and under the bed. They also need to provide different sizes of towels, not just the large ones. The breakfast buffet was really good, but the general restaurant menu and options are average for the high prices charged. The swimming pool was a hit with our child. We tried out the spa and it was honestly over-priced especially given that the spa is quite old and needs upgrading. The fireworks show at midnight ringing in the was the highlight of our stay, it was simply spectacular.

Pro. - we had a twin- bed room towards golf course side with wonderful view of the green park - very friendly service - extraordinary restaurant with local food buffet in the evening, the chefs were so polite and helpful - very fast WiFi connection

Happy to see they have maintained the standards since the hotel was refurbished in 2010. Breakfast was lovely, the rooms clean with fresh and clean linen. The bar was well stocked. The gardens are still well manicured and the infinity pool very clean. My only concern was the bath tub cum shower. The shower is in a deep tub which could be challenging to elderly guests to get in and out.

Hotel molto comodo come partenza per il safari. Si trova a circa 45 minuti dall'aeroporto Kilimanjaro. Hotel molto pulito, camere spaziose e molto accoglienti. Personale molto gentile. C'è anche la piscina ed il ristorante dove abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Lo consiglio.

The whole experience was outstanding from the moment we checked in through the moment we checked out. Lovely employees, beautiful rooms, amazing fresh food, and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was wonderful! The kids enjoyed the options and so did we. It was more than enough to satisfy anyone! There were a few weddings during our time there, which was fun to observe. The beds were very comfortable.
