We made a last minute reservation for one night stay in this motel in ashford WA. The location is perfect. It is near Mt Rainier and nestled in the small Ashford town. This cabin lodge is spacious, with basic living needs. There is no coffee maker or water kettle, no microwave or mini fridge, no hair dryer. The bed is too soft and making squeaky sound. this motel is still a good value with the cost. I would recommend a few enhancements though, add a coffee maker or water kettle in the room, along with a hair dryer. Improve the bedder and linens quality. This will definitely improve the attractiveness and award a high price / earnings for long term.

The property has a unique history and is close to the National Park. Setting was beautiful. We did have a small store close by which was helpful as this is a true rural location. Our room was quite large as well. Would have liked water a bit hotter, but if I am in Ashford again this would be my choice of accomodations. I will recommend this area and Mt Rainier National Park ...Nisqually Entrance.

It was very close to Mt Rainier which is why I chose it. I paid 183.00 a night for a bare bones room with stained sheets and bath towels with holes. Had to call the desk to figure out how to turn on the shower....and was told push on the wall and pull real hard and turn. Just in extreme need of a total refresh. No Fridg, no microwave, no TV only 1 light bulb in the bathroom, no air conditioning and no screens on the windows.

I like it quite, easy drive to Mt rainier, clean, hot tub, simple furniture in our room, it’s simple concept that I like, only thing bothering me is the noise from next door, otherwise I really enjoyed staying there

I knew the rooms were basic, but for the price, I expected better. There were cobwebs, a daddy long-leg spider in the bathroom, and the floors were not clean. The lack of cell service in the area makes one entirely dependent on wifi in case of emergencies, but the wifi wouldn't connect to the internet. There are no fans or anything in the room, so I had to sleep with both windows open--on the first floor next to the public restroom. Between everyone stomping back and forth in front of my room and the upstairs guests wearing their boots indoors, thank GOD I brought earplugs or I wouldn't have managed to get the little bit of sleep I did. Have you considered ceiling or oscillating fans in the rooms? The coffee from the cafe was consistently good, but they were "out" of most of the breakfast items.

It was a comfortable room, great morning coffee. The bar next door had the best clam chowder. Went there to go to Paradise Snow Park.

We were in the second story, and it was really hot in our room. Difficult to control the climate, but at least the window opened. Otherwise, no complaints. Great room in ideal location.

The beds were super uncomfortable- sagged in the middle and loudly squeaked so when you turned at night, it woke the other person. The curtains were too narrow for the window so light entered in the am and it was loud, especially when folks walked by.

Room did not have a television, phone, refrigerator or microwave. Not a lot of food options around. Would recommend bringing something to eat that does not have to be kept cold or heated up.
