奧本萬豪SpringHill Suites酒店(SpringHill Suites Auburn)

Had a very nice stay. Everything was clean and fresh. Spent time by the firepit at night. Extra kudos to the morning breakfast staff, they were hustling to keep up with the number of guests.

The property itself is nice, but it is next to a huge construction area that is very unsightly. The pool and hot tub were closed, and there was no mention of it before my arrival. That was one of the biggest reasons I booked the hotel. Upon check-in, the desk staff told me there would be fees for parking and using the amenities, which my reservation though ******* said was already included. The parking lot was full, almost no space and the amenities I was to pay fees for were closed. The desk staff told me to call the manager to resolve. I left him a message, and he never returned my call. The check in was so stressful due to this. There was a wedding that was the next day, and they were dominating the whole outdoor patio area the night before, being loud and rowdy. The room was pretty nice and clean. I was placed on the bottom floor though, and there was no view whatsoever, another reason why i had booked this hotel, to see the hillsides. The breakfast had good options, yet it was no self serve. There was a line to wait in and one server working the whole area. There was a little cafe area that was advertised as being available for most of the day and evening, and it was never open. I was very disappointed by the entire experience.

We arrived at 2:45 with a check in time of 3 for two rooms. We were initially told neither room was ready. They offered us a different room (2 queens instead of a king), which we accepted. We waited at the hotel, asking more than once about the other room, until after 3. Because we had a wedding rehearsal dinner to get to, we requested they contact us asap when the second room was ready. In the middle of the rehearsal dinner I got several phone calls from *******. When I was able to answer, I was informed that the hotel had given away our room! We were told they would find us accommodations elsewhere. We returned to Springhill Suites and had some very terse words with the staff, demanding a room. It didn’t help when they told us we were not considered “guaranteed “ because we booked through ******* (even though we had been there at check in time!). Eventually we were given a second room but the hotels treatment ruined the entire night for us when it should have been a happy moment in our lives.

The hotel was relatively clean & comfortable but I have three items that I feel did not meet my expectations. 1. The bath towels were very abrasive and not even close to being soft, obvious no fabric softener being used. 2. The water pressure was very poor and this may be due to the city water pressure being low in general but our room had no cold water flow in the shower. With hot days around 100 F, we didn't have the option for a cold shower or even or cool shower. It was hot to warm, that's it. 3. The breakfast most of all was disappointing being very small and minimal choices. The cheese omelette was not good, some sort of processed cheese was used. We donated our breakfast every morning to the homeless camp on Bell Rd.

Check-in was extremely slow (I got there early but wasn't able to check-in until 4:30pm). I also left early because of headaches.

No good

We got a mountain view room but the blinds were broken so we had to makeshift a way to keep them up. The beds werent very comfortable to sit on and watch tv. But overall very nice accomadations and clean.

All of the staff from the front desk, breakfast staff( should get 5 stars.) Maintence all were very friendly and helpful. The room was amazing, very clean and beautiful.

Zero complaints about the property, staff was excellent and super helpful. But the picture of 1 King Suite on ******* was incorrect. We had to pay $90 extra for a room that looked like the picture. Suggest *******/Hotel work to fix it ASAP
