Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin

From checking in to checking out the service was excellent. The 8th floor bar and outdoor patio were wonderful and our breakfast at Luminaire was quiet tasty. Our room remodel was not quiet finished as the ceiling was just concrete with contractor notes still visible but that was only aesthetics and did not effect our stay in any negative way. Definitely would stay again.

The rooms are pretty cramped. There’s also no microwave. They have a “common area” but it’s really just two microwaves in the hall of the 5th floor. Only one of the microwaves is actually plugged up and you can tell it hasn’t been cleaned for a while. Also vallet parking is charged to your room so if you want to use a different card tell them when you check in.

It is in a great location, close to great restaurants, the Paramount Theatre and the Moody Center and just a few blocks from the Texas Capitol. The hotel is cute and aesthetically pleasing but it needs some work. We had a king size bed, with a Capitol View, however, the room was so small. We had just enough room to walk around our bed and the bathroom is right next to the bed so you can hear what is going on in the bathroom and see the other person sitting on the toilet. It was odd. The AC unit was LOUD and kept turning on and off and it sounded like it was going to fall on us - all night long. The gentlemen at the valet and the gentlemen who checked us in were very kind and helpful, even the maintenance folks in the elevator were super nice.

The staff was very friendly, great new hotel, the lobby on the 8th floor was different. Overall, enjoyed the place and the location.

I really enjoyed my stay. My room was cleaned every single day, the towels were replaced with unused ones, and even new Nespresso pods were given! Definitely recommend for a stay at Austin!

The hotel is very nice and great service. My room was small but great for one person. My bed was extremely uncomfortable. Way too soft and sagged. I want to stay here again but not if they have the same beds.

Not a place for family. Only valet parking. Expensive breakfast. Small room. It's a business hotel, not for visitors.
