We stayed on 2nd fl, r205. Happy with the clean room and bathroom. Water pressure in the shower is really strong so be careful when facing it. All doors are kinda heavy when closing but no big deal. Nice and convenient location to restaurants and pier. Easy check-in and friendly staff, luggage storage option after checkout. Complimentary breakfast was okay, we were expecting to have some scramble egg but not an option. Overall, great experience. Would stay again!!!

Hotel Metropole has a great location. Staff friendly and efficient. The rooms are situated above an outdoor mall with shops, spa, salon, game arcade and food venues. My room was nice except... The wall paper was buckling and sagging on a wall. When I arrived home from the wedding (reason for my visit), there was a 3" cockroach scurrying around on the floor! After several attempts I managed to capture it under a coffee cup. Called front desk and a man showed up promptly to remove it. Even he was freaked out. I was not comped for this 12:30 am nigh**are. I suspect the sagging section of the wall paper probably harbored more roaches and that made for a restless night's sleep.

Our stay was outstanding! For our 40th anniversary, they gave us a bottle of champagne. We booked a superior sweet but I am sure they upgraded us. Our room was huge with a fireplace. We loved having a jacuzzi. Our only regret is not staying two nights. Jessie was the nicest one of the front desk people, smiles and kind. They held our luggage the next day also.

Hotel Metropole was great. The check in/out process was easy and staff was friendly. We loved having a fireplace in our room since it was chilly out. The rooftop jacuzzi was lovely and had great views. The continental breakfast had great options for the whole family. The kids enjoyed the arcade and the sandwiches at the Cafe Metropole were great. I would stay here again.

Hotel Metropole was very nice and centrally located in Avalon. It would have been good to have an ice machine on each floor.

Great location on Catalina Island. Staff was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Room was excellent and comfortable for 3. Coffee in room and the continental breakfast was great.

Beautiful hotel. Super clean. Right across the water. Has its own arcade, bars and restaurant. Great over all. I’ll definitely be back.

Lack of privacy - people looking into the room From the courtyard shops. Had I known this we would not have booked here and do not feel like it was honestly represented. The room smelled strongly of chlorine. Only three lights in the bedroom and one was broken. Bright light shone in from the courtyard all night. Upstairs neighbors moving furniture and running across the floor until around midnight loud enough to wake us several times. No one at the front desk at night. I should have left for another hotel on the island rather than trying to stay the night.

Excellent room and stay. We’re fortunate enough to not only get some ocean views but on arrival they gave us an early check in as our room was ready ! Our new favorite place to stay and we will be back !
