阿維拉海灘酒店(Inn at Avila Beach)

Disturbing check-in with their treatment of multiple people during check-in. Not welcoming. The door to enter our room opened up to a direct view of the bathtub - not a relaxing experience... The experience was not worth the price. The only redeemable part of the stay was balcony with a view of the ocean and Joe Mama's coffee in the morning. The employees serving the coffee were amazing.

While the room and location are amazing, I will never book here again. Trying to check in was a nightmare in that they have a new system. I booked my reservation through ******* only for the hotel not be able to find the reservation. After about 10 minutes in a separate room the receptionist came out with a printed copy of my reservation. Then they proceeded to try to overcharge what was stated in my ******* quote. It took another 20-25 minutes for the lady, Hortensia I believe is her name, to try and figure out the issue. She then called over a gentleman and he was able to figure it out. Then we were told our room was not ready, it took over 90 minutes from start of check in until we were finally able to get to our room. Fast track to a few hours after checking out the next day, we had asked for a later check out due to check in issues but they said no, and I get an attempted second charge on my credit card for a full nights stay. Thankfully AMEX flagged it as suspicious. What a horrible experience, not worth the views. There are plenty of other beach side hotels to stay at in the area.

The Inn is wonderful. We stayed in a king themed spa suite which was lovely. The view from the roof was incredible. They even had free pie and a lovely breakfast. I had a big mug of hot chocolate, ham and cheese croissant and a veggie quiche. Be careful if you book through *******. I needed to change my check in date by 24 hours and lended up having to pay for both days. Get the insurance.

What a charming and interesting place. The room is like a Spanish villa with lots of wood. And it’s huge. With a bar and huge tub. The 4th floor deck overlooks the beach and is also huge. Can’t wait for coffee up on the deck and breakfast !

All was good despite terrible rain and flooding that weekend. Beware the breakfast is not a real breakfast, but rather light snacks with coffee / tea and some fruits.

Our stay was very nice. The room we had was very clean and roomy. Lots of nice touches.

The Inn at Avila was a fantastic value for the price. Sure, the building is a little old, but you can't beat the location across the street from one of California's most picturesque beaches. The hotel includes parking and complementary bikes, which you can enjoy at nearby trails.

The beds were terrible! And the lights outside illuminated our room all night. It was impossible to sleep. The location is great but we will never stay here again.

quaint restored property that is well taken care of and right on the beach. great area for walking, shopping and eating. highly recommended.
