When I arrived at my room, later in the evening after dinner, the room was hot. The A/C was not turned on. Of course the room was dark. There was no light switch by the door. I walked to the bathroom & turned the light on. I had to turn the lamp on by the bed. (The last hotel I stayed in just down the road, had the light on and the room cooled off for me and was significantly cheaper.). I was told at the check in there were 2 bottles of water— compliments of the hotel. No bottled water. The room was uncomfortably warm all night. I left a fan in my car. Good thing— there are extension cords running under the bed because there aren’t enough outlets. I’m not a breakfast eater, but the hotel stay includes a free breakfast that is included somehow in the facility fee of the bill. I was expecting a lot more for the price— at least have the room cooled and a light on!! Very disappointing. I wouldn’t stay again.

The black for the wedding that we were attending was released without notice. This meant we could no longer get a room at the hotel the night before the wedding. The hotel would not allow us to check in early so we could bring her things before the wedding. When I called to ask, they said I could call and request an early check-in. So I did that the morning of the wedding and they said they still couldn’t help me. And that I should call back periodically during the day. I requested them to call me since I was attending my brothers wedding from California. never happened. It was the hotel‘s fault for releasing the block early if they wouldn’t help us remedy the situation in any way shape or form. When we pulled our blankets back for the night, there were dirty tissues underneath the comforter and sheets. That’s disgusting when we checked, and no one told us that breakfast, which is included in the room, rent and resort fee, ended at 9 AM. So we went to go to breakfast at 9:15. It was no longer available Again no accommodations were made. We stay in hotels all the time. The tub was absolutely disgusting. It was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. The people that are supposed to assist you had absolutely no form of caring or helpfulness at all. It was almost as if they purposely wanted to not help. I have never experienced that before. I will never stay here again and I will make multiple reviews and I explained that at the front desk, so I wish she had mentioned breakfast

Very disappointing. Dirty, moldy and wet carpet. Rude front desk person named Michael. Hair dryer sparked and died and they did not have another to offer.

Historic building. Has a lot of character. Complimentary wine, cheese, coffee and other snacks. 2 pieces of Chocolate and water bottles in room. Very classy

The property has such a classic old hotel feel. I was so inspired by the beautiful watercolor artwork throughout that I went and bought a set of paint. The decor reminds me of grandpa chic but in the best way. The breakfast was a nice surprise to include- very good food. The only things I could possible say that could use improvement or you can just be aware: the water takes a long time to heat up… but once hot was perfect! Also, the pool is summer only and I didnt realize. And finally, the tv was older and not equipped for anything but cable. I didnt mind though, and got the best nights sleep!

I was very disappointed that we were given a room on the second floor on the motel side. The stairs were hard to navigate with our bags as I have health issues and my mother is 84 years old. I feel we should have been advised about the stairs prior to our stay. The rooms are fine however there is a dead bird on the stairs.

Always stayed here when visiting family for Christmas always enjoyed the bar to wind down on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day opened to 11pm. This year bar wasn’t opened and really disappointed in that. But everything else was perfect as always and buffet was great. I will stay again next Christmas or when family event. Missed the bar setting hopefully they will be open again next Christmas and Christmas Eve. Allot of people enjoyed the bar at this hotel bar tenders were always great! It brought great spirits for Christmas.
