蒂豪尼俱樂部酒店(Hotel Club Tihany)

After reading the negative comments I was a bit scared to go there however we had no choice due to a family reunion and it was only one night. My experience was totally great in terms of the staff behavior, cleaning of the facilities, room conditions and the food. We booked a Deluxe room and both the furniture, the cleaning, the balcony were fine and the bathroom was well equipped. I loved the lavender items too. Food was good for us, huge buffet tables for dinner and breakfast as well. The restaurant was crowdy but this is summer vacation time. The lake view from our balcony was beautiful. The room price was high but this is the price level of Balaton in August. But the price of drinks and food were not higher than anywhere else of this category. I don’t know how the cheaper rooms are but Deluxe is good. The only negative experience is the check out time at 10.00 AM, the breakfast lasts only until 10.00 and all bars and restaurant close at 10.00 PM. This is not very guest-friendly in a resort hotel.

Zimmer Top Personal für ungarische Verhältnisse gut Außenbereich man erkennt die Jahre der Vernachlässigung. Essen abgestimmt auf Billigbucher. Ein normaler S*****en Käse Tost ist dafür im ganzen Haus nicht zum haben. Für Familie mit Kindern sicherlich ideal.

The service in the restaurant and at the reception was really bad, the staf really didn’t want to work! Also the food at the buffet was really dry and had no spices. The rooms and the houses are really old and in poor condition. Our showerhead just fell off when no one was near it. The spiders are all around your cabin when you arive. I suggest you to go somewhere else!

L’emplacement de la résidence au pied du lac est idéal, avec une vue magnifique. Une aire de jeux et les piscines sont plutôt agréables. La chambre est très grande et bien équipée , même si cela reste dans les aménagements des années 60-70. Pour le dîner, il s’agit d’une cantine géante avec beaucoup de monde. Les plats proposés sont basiques.

Malgré certains commentaires mitigés, nous avons choisi cet hôtel pour sa situation directement au bord du lac, au calme et la présence d'une piscine intérieure. La chambre est très spacieuse (catégorie "deluxe", qui permet une vue face au lac). Elle a conservé son mobilier du début des années 70 et est très bien équipée, avec de nombreux rangements, comme on le faisait à l'époque. La vue sur le lac y est agréable. Mais il faut savoir : - que l'hôtel est mal insonorisé. Cela n'est pas gênant, s'il y a peu de monde, mais c'est un vrai problème en période estivale et de vacances. - la demi-pension est obligatoire (165 € par nuit) et la prestation ne correspond absolument pas au prix payé. L'hôtel se présente comme un quatre étoiles, mais les repas sont ceux d'une cantine avec une clientèle très populaire. Cela nous paraissait étonnant, vu les prix pratiqués, mais nous avons appris après coup que les Hongrois modestes bénéficient de bons de réduction pour séjourner dans les hôtels, ce qui expliquent leur présence. Nous avons cependant apprécié de prendre le petit-déjeuner dans la partie vitrée directement au bord du lac.

The food was terrible, the staff was really unfriendly and the bungalows were not clean. They also don’t try to speak English and asked money for broken things we did not break.

The hotel is located next to the Balaton Lake, the staff is friendly. BUT, the hotel is dirty, really really socialism. The bathroom is moldy and messy. The bed is very uncomfortable. We could not turn off the heating system so we needed to sleep with opened door, but it was warm in the room. The wellnes is ok, but there is no massage or beauty treatment. The food is ok, but nothing special , little bit boring. The forest view room is looking to the parking place.

I didn’t feel welcome. Service at restaurant was mostly very unfriendly. Young staff were friendly towards us, we tried to smile and be polite. Did not work for the older staff. Location is good (great view) Chalets were not so modern and there was a musty smell. Beds are small for tall persons (184cm) If your on a low budget and don’t care about friendly staff. This is the place to be.
