芙蓉別墅酒店(Hibiscus Cottages)

This hotel is difficult to find as it is hidden way back amongst other small hotels. Only walk path (about 100 meters) available to this hotel. Poor lighting along the path at night where some places hand phone light is needed. I carried 2 hand carry luggage to and back from main road.

The exterior of the property is beautifully landscaped and well kept. My first room was on the ground floor and within 30 min of being in the room there were two enormous roaches in the bathroom. I reached out to the owner who’d given me a what’s app number to reach him on as there is no “front desk staff” I messaged and called and it was 4 hours before I received a response. They removed the roaches but more soon came. I messaged and called and messaged and called. After a sleepless night I was moved upstairs. Here there were no further issues with roaches but there were still lots of ants in the room as were downstairs. I can handle ants. Rooms were “cleaned” daily but there were cobwebs above door in latticework and on ceiling in second room. First room bathroom also smelled strongly of urine. Second room occasionally smelled like cigarette smoke so I’m assuming someone on property was smoking and it came in through the windows that don’t seal. Owner was friendly as was his son. I didn’t eat here at all. No spa, restaurant or laundry on property but there are some in walking distance. Room not soundproof at all. For the price it was okay but I wouldn’t stay here again.

Hotel muy rural y local. El exterior es maravilloso y las vistas desde la azotea espectaculares. Desayunos muy buenos ( los pancakes típicos buenísimos ) y personal muy atento. A objetar cama muy dura, almohadas incomodas y limpieza sin más. La ubicación muy buena, apartado de las calles más turísticas y ruidosas.

Not all the rooms look like on the Fotos. I got a room in the ground floor and it was dark noisy because the a very small street was in front the room and a lot of scooter used this small road - so you feel like the go through the room. I left the homestay after i saw that and stayed at an other Place.

Un complesso delizioso di cottage che ti accoglie con tanto verde e profumo di incenso. nonostante i proprietari non parlino molto bene l'inglese, si dimostrano accoglienti e disponibili. Camera ampia e pulita. Bagno con vasca e finestrato. Letto con zanzariera. Unica pecca: la camera risulta umida.

ひとり旅だったので家族経営でアットホームなところを選びました。スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで何か不便はないか、リクエストはないか、気にかけてくれました。朝食のフルーツジュースは手作りで、朝食も美味しかったです。4階の絶景テラスで食べれます。 お湯もしっかりでる、トイレの流れも良い、田んぼの中にありとても静かでした。少し歩けばウブド 中心地です。 宿を出てすぐのレストラン、どちらもおすすめです。Papege s warungとWarung Gauri

We booked a family room at Hibiscus Cottages in Ubud. We noticed the reviews were good, so we hoped for the best! What met us after walking through a beautiful ricefield, was just as beautiful! We were met by the friendliest staff that helped us with our bags and showed us to our room. The room was also really nice! Good double bed and bathroom in the first floor and a second bed 1 floor up. We really like this kind of solution for a family room! The owner was so kind and wanted all the best for his guests. You could tell that the staff liked working there. The whole feeling of the place made me want to become a better person! I don’t know how else to say it. You will notice when you stay there yourself! The breakfast on the roof was very good, made by the cook. We called him Batman, since he had a batman cap on:-) Such a nice guy! He tought us how to make the omelette we liked so much. Complimentary coffee and tea at all times up there, and you could fill your water-bottle several places around the area. The place was very clean and wherever we went, everything was well maintained and there was beautil plants and flowers all over the place. Internet was also not to bad:-) Would love to stay here again!

This is a traditional Bali family compound that is about 100 m off the beaten path of one of the main street of Ubud. The service was incredible and the room was a spectacular room with amazing carved wooden doors and high ceilings. It was very comfortable, including a really incredible bathroom. I had my own balcony. The breakfast is on the rooftop and there were several choices. The place is surrounded by rice paddies , and it’s very quiet, even though it’s really in the heart of Ubud. You access the hotel through a narrow path, then a wooden oath through a rice paddy. Very authentic experience. Get some help with luggage, it’s a little bit of a hike off the road. I loved it!
