厄爾伯爵酒店(The Earl in Charlevoix)

Property has a fun inside/outside feel with both ground floor lobby and top deck turning into bars at certain times of day. Pool area is small but nice. Room was generous sized and bathroom was larger than is often the case, especially the shower. Internet service was spotty for some reason, and daily maid service comes late in the day and didn't show any interest in making the bed...

Our hotel room was very spacious, clean, and modern, and the king bed was extremely comfortable. The fitness room has limited equipment options--a treadmill, weights, and a Peloton bike. The pool is small, but it has a waterfall-like fountain feature that is fun. The outside deck and Hi-bar are amazing features. We loved getting to look out at the water and downtown area at night! Breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. The food was high-quality and delicious with a reasonable number of options. We were impressed that it was well-stocked the whole time from 7-10 am! The hotel's history is interesting, and it's nice to see parts of the original design incorporated into the remodel. The hotel is conveniently located to the downtown area, the lake, and the mushroom houses. Overall, it was a great stay. Our only complaints are that the hotel has extremely limited parking (we had trouble finding a spot when we arrived at 9 pm) and the rooms need better soundproofing (we could hear the outside door opening and closing all night long and our neighbor showering in the middle of the night).

We just spent three nights at the Earl and it was terrific. Our room was spacious, well decorated and very trendy, which we enjoyed. The staff was terrific. Everyone of them being very friendly from the people manning the continental breakfast right up to the bartender on the roof. We can’t wait to come back next summer.

This is such a great hotel! Perfect location, modern rooms/amenities, and fantastic service. If I had one suggestion, it would be to extend the hours of the workout room (right now 7am-10am). I was in Charlvoix for work and it would have been nice to get my workout in before starting my workday. It must have been the universe's way of telling me to slow down and relax a bit. :-) Other than that little thing, 10/10!

I really enjoyed my 2 nights at The Earl. The first night I was there, my room was right over the noisy bar and they were able to move me to a very quiet room. The rooms are decorated so nice! Modern and cozy. Bed was super comfy. Best of all was the staff!! So friendly and very accommodating!! and they make the best lattes!!

The stay was very enjoyable. My only negative was when I inquired about a local Friday event that the hotel was part of on that weekend. The “day”staff was uninformed and when I provided more information to what I found they were uninterested and stated that they only worked days and that was at night.

We loved our staycation at The Earl. I saw a lot of reviews with complaints about relevant things like parking and not enough hanging hooks for wet towels and suits in the room. Those are accurate, but also not a deal breaker for us. There are some things they could change to make it better, but it looks like they've taken some comments in the reviews and made changes. For example their shuttle van was parked in a neighboring lot, and there's signage about quiet hours. We loved the pool and hot tub, and not one time did we feel like it was crowded. We actually hardly saw anyone in there. Customer service was outstanding, and the few times we went to the bar for drinks they were made well from a kind bartender. LOVE the free drink options like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. We often make day trips to Charlevoix but, will definitely stay here in the off season when it's more financially reasonable. We live in northern Michigan so understand why prices are what they are in the summer, but would be awesome to be able to enjoy it in it's full summer glory. We did not order food from the kitchen, but did try multiple restaurants in town. Terry's is worth the coin, the Villager Pub is standard bar fare with excellent service, and we enjoyed our coffee and crepes from That French Place.We do not recommend Black Market Foods.

Perfect boutique style hotel in the heart of Charlevoix. Large room with a balcony, 2 great bar options, and lovely mid-mod touches made it a perfect stay.

Modern, clean, and comfortable. Located within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, the lake (beautiful sunsets), and the mushroom houses.
