Gigantic hotel, always crowded but organized….room are bit old. Comfortable bed. Too many varieties of food, but for me not tasty…the lunch place is enormous, free beverage including beer (ok)and wine( no so much). Great coffee specially in the afternoon. Great location.
Stayed at this property for 4 nights during a trip to the Galilee. We were personally greeted by the general manager, who explained that a large number of displaced families from the north were currently residing at the property. It was a privilege to reside in the same hotel with them. Rooms were clean and well maintained with stellar views from the lake facing accommodations. We needed the bed split into two singles, and that was done promptly. Any requests were handled quickly and pleasantly. Daily breakfast was robust with a wide selection of offerings. Restaurant staff were helpful, courteous, and thorough. Special mention to Nati, the night manager, who always greeted us warmly - by name - whenever we arrived at or left the hotel and really took care of us during our stay. He, the general manager, and the rest of the staff give great credit to the Leonardo brand and to this property specifically.
We stayed here for 3 days on a half board basis. The check in process was seamless. Our room was quite spacious but cleanliness was not up to the mark. I found floss, and a couple small items under the sink. Our used coffee cups were not rinsed and used glasses were not taken away. We had to place these outside the room after which they were cleared. Breakfast buffet had plenty of selections and variety. Dinner offering was limited on couple days due to Passover. Property has adult pool and kiddie pools with great views of the Sea of Galilee. Roof top bar offers great views of the city.
The staff experience started with a long, patient and helpful call to reception when we booked our weekend; and continued throughout the weekend. The hotel is set away from the main hotel area by the lake and is about a 20 minute walk down to the shore. The rooms are a large size and are both clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good with a variety of hots food and salads. We also enjoyed the swimming pool are in the late afternoon. The history of the hotel is an interesting read.
Not very accessible for folks with problem in taking stairs as elevators are different for odd and even floored rooms with necessity of taking steps from reception for one of the elevators. Similarly- restaurant is at lower level. AC controls did not work- so we had to open the windows to make the temperature comfortable. Rooms look tired. As a Shabbath compliant hotel- no creamer in rooms. We were with a travel group which included dinner and breakfast. No hot vegetarian options were available in-spite of informing in advance.
訪訪客I spent almost a week at this wonderful place with me partner, and I appreciated the stay so much. We stayed in a private room, with a comfortable bed, television, bathroom and shower. It was simple, but with charisma. The included breakfast was also simple, tasty, fresh, and really cozy. The staff were all very relaxed and friendly, and I enjoyed very much meeting and conversing with other guests staying at the hostel. One of the highlights was celebrating shabbat there together. Thank you for taking such good care of us, and for being compassionate and warm. I highly recommend going to Tiberias Hostel if you’re in the area - even if you aren’t! All the best Jonathan
訪訪客My husband and I and my in-laws stayed at the Jacob Hotel de Tiberias last weekend and we had a very pleasant experience. Clean hotel and good-smelling, excellent service, comfortable room and amazing breakfast. For sure, when we go to Tiberias again, we will come back to the Jacob Hotel.
