The room was good but the bathroom was very poor and had a constant smell The reception staff did not know what they were doing as they could not figure out the booking wasted half hour on check in and another half hour on checking out!

Beds comfy. Leisure facilities very good. Reception staff rude. Very frustrating check in. We had a large van couldn’t exit or enter & had to keep walking to reception for them to open the gate as they don’t answer the landline. Food was very good.

Great place to stay staff were really good and welcoming the hotel its self was very good as well. Had food in the bar which was very good food would stay again.

Room comfy

I've stayed here a few times. Plus points are that it's a comfortable hotel with friendly staff - however the rooms are in need of an update. There are very few sockets / charge points and none adjacent to the beds. The quality and choice of food isn't good enough for a 4* hotel - far better food (at very reasonable prices) in the village pub - 10 mins walk away.

Customer service terrible when disputing a mandatory cleaning charge of £50 for marks on the wall which were not done by us. I contacted the hotel by telephone and emailed, I followed up 3x by phone and by email over a week with no response or even acknowledgement. I contacted them today and received a less than satisfactory response. I have escalated to Marriot HQ, for the matter to be properly resolved. This is not the service I expect from a Marriott Hotel. It is a shame because the staff in restaurant were lovely but front of house and housekeeping awful.

Check in was a slow process. Wifi was a hassle to connect and TV kept switching its self off. In the bar the waiter ignired me untill i stopped him walking by to order some food. He then took my order but then forgot to bring me my drink.Car chargers were not signposted and would not connect to my car
