皇冠酒店(The Crown Hotel)

We liked that the hotel had their own parking (one of the reasons I picked the place), a nice dining room, room was of good size, and good wi-fi. We didn't like that there was only a thin curtain over the bathroom window (we put up a towel over the window), the very hard bed, staff gave us a hard time when we wanted extra towels, the bathroom sink and mirror presented challenges.

I was on a business visit near to here. My room was a little type bungalow right at the top of site with one small one. It was absolutely terrible. The bed was really uncomfortable. No wardrobe to put my clothes in. No phone sgnal at all. No wifi signal at all to carryout mynwork on my laptop. The heating radiator was either really hot or if i turned the radiator down to 3 l, it was cold. If i turned off the radiator completely, when nextndoor turned on the hot tap, all the pipes banged really loud.Breakfast was served at 8am. This wasnfarntoo late for me because i had to be at my location for 8am. Usually, breakfast is served at 7am in most hotels i stay in. Carpark is ok but the drive through the tunnel and up the drive is very tight and the same on the way out. Towels aren't replaced on a daily basis. I was getting about 4/5 hours of sleep per night.

Much improved since last year and the price is about right with its current comfort and décor status. It should be made clear though, that this hotel is not suitable for anyone with mobility challenges, and is certainly not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair. To try and change this would ruin the look and feel of a very old Cotswold Coaching Inn.

A very friendly old coaching inn, family run with comfortable rooms, fast inclusive Wi-Fi, decent breakfast and a bar/restaurant that serves a variety of meals, including genuine Sri Lankan food as well as typical British/western fare. Staff are all very helpful, polite, professional and friendly,.

The Crown Hotel in Blockley was perfect for our weekend away. Set in an idyllic Cotswold village, it’s a good position for all the local places of interest. Helpful, friendly staff, and interesting locals to chat to. I’d recommend this for a reasonable place to stay in the Cotswolds.

We booked one night at this hotel and wished now we had stayed longer. The staff were incredible, warm, friendly, attentive and efficient. We had dinner there and all 5 of us were contented with freshly cooked food, breakfast was great and the bar was relaxed and inviting. Our room had the most beautiful view, it was very clean and private and was perfect for our family of 5. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend without hesitation - the staff made our stay so pleasant - thank you everyone!
