伍德賽德旅館(The Woodside Inn)

This is the first time that I have ever written a negative review. In the spirit of honesty I can say that the room at this hotel was as advertised. No problem there. But if you stay here, BE ADVISED that the rooms are set above a large dining area housing 35 4-seater tables, and that THE SOUND SYSTEM BLASTED OUT DISCO MUSIC NON-STOP FROM 8.15AM TO MIDNIGHT EVERY NIGHT. The music was so loud that if you were in your room, you couldn't hear yourself think. Perhaps some people like that. I don't, but as a paying guest I wasn't given the choice. My arrival was problematic too. I had received written confirmation from the hotel of an early check in, but that wasn't honoured. Staff claimed they knew nothing about it, and the owner was late arriving for work. I was told to sit at a table and wait for four hours. No cup of tea offered. As a 76-year-old *** who had been travelling for 25 hours, I was less than impressed.

The food was tasty, and the stay in South Goa was amazing. Had a great time, especially enjoyed the Jacuzzi experience. Highly recommend it! 🌴🍲😊The staff was also very friendly & cooperative. Helped us to rent vehicles

Spent a week at the Woodside Inn. Having arrived I had a bad stomach and the owner Garin luckily had some Imodium on hand which sorted me right out. We had a lovely time there, it’s fairly near to the beach, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and breakfast was included. Garin was brilliant and happy to attend to any of our requests/needs. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family. Also once the pool is finished we would love to return at some point in the future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very good ambience ,Rooms are speacious & Clean, Staff are good and Cooperative, Food is excellent, Beach is 10 min walking distance, To stay here you must hire a bike or Car , it will help you to ease your travel

Just spent 7 nights here, 6 of us. Lovely rooms, spacious, spotless, and serviced daily. Really comfortable beds and exceptionally friendly and efficient service. The restaurant serves lovely food, and we enjoyed a complimentary breakfast. The location is good, a 10 minute walk to the beach. The hotel also has entertainment a couple of nights. The proprietor was very helpful throughout the booking process.

Good but not good enough This was an accidental find. It is conveniently located. Taj is just round the corner, the beach ten minutes walk. I have mixed feelings. At the booking time they insist on gpay which I do not use. They refuse to give bank details to transfer the amount. But were kind enough to block a room for me without any advance money. Months later I get a call asking me why there was no payment, what was the booking amount. Did feel odd. The check in was smooth and the boys helping around were kind. Cecil is always around. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy. Breakfast here is extremely limited. If you are lactose or gluten intolerant, God save you. Construction work is going on to expand the hotel but I think they need to get their act together. The bathroom has good fittings But poor installation. for a newly built rooms the joint between the wash basin and wall is already cracked up. The water flow is already less with an additional floor one can only imagine what will happen unless the construction work is siphoning the water. Woodside inn is good enough, some serious work needs to be done apart from mere expansion. Attention to details will go a long way

Good food. good services. staff is courteous. Location is 1000 metres away from beach, near Taj exotica and ITC fortune. It is 9 km away from madgaon railway station. Spacious rooms are near and clean.

Garin and his team are excellent hosts, nothing is to much trouble. He even drove my husband to the pharmacy for meds when we were both unwell. The rooms are excellent and contain everything you need, the lovely balcony was an unexpected surprise. The mattress has to be the most comfortable one I have ever sleep on in India and the pillows and linens were just like home. Fab food and drinks. Would not change a thing. We would go back in a heartbeat. #probably the most comfy beds in India.
