伯爾尼斯泰因酒店(Hotel Pension Bernstein am Kurfürstendamm)

Zimmer war nett, Bett in Ordnung. Besonders angenehm die U-bahnstation Augsburger Straße direkt ums Eck. Vis a vis ein Supermarkt . Frühstück war auch recht gut. Werde wenn der Preis stimmt bestimmt wieder kommen. Die gute Lage erlaubte mir nach Opern-und Konzertbesucher auch sehr spät gut nach Hause zu kommen.

Das Hotel ist von aussen sehr unscheinbar. Ein normaler Hauseingang. Danach gehen viele Treppenstufen nach oben (ca 20). Das Zimmer ist von der Möbelierung sehr alt und extrem hellhörig. Auf dem Bett waren noch vereinzelt Haare zu finden. Das Bad ist minimalistisch. Der Toilettendeckel hat schon bessere Jahre gesehen. Ebenso die Dusche. Leider Schimmel an der Wand und am Kabinenrand. Ebenso richtig sauber war es auch nicht. Lediglich der Mülleimer im Bad wurde geleert. Sonst hat das Zimmer keinerlei Reinigung erfahren. Zudem war der Safe nicht zugänglich. Es gab keine Rauchmelder und es musste die Zimmertüre abgeschlossen werden, dass kein unerwarteter Besuch auftaucht. Ebenso die Etagentüre wurde verschlossen. Brandschutztechnisch totale Katastrophe. Ebenso das Frühstück. Für 7,50€ eine Zumutung. Sehr kleine Aufbackbrötchen. Kaum Auswahl und von den Zeiten als Geschäftsreisender nicht zu empfehlen. Man wird vom Personal angemacht, wenn man sich Frühsrück einpackt, wenn keine Zeit zum frühstücken bleibt. Einen Tag geht man früher zum Frühstück, weil es beim einchecken hieß, dass man auch 15min früher hin gehen könnte. Dann gibt die Dame beim Frühstücksraum an, es würde erst um 8uhr Frühstück geben. Am nächsten Tag heißt es dann, als man sich das essen zusammenpackt, dass es nicht ginge etwas mitzunehmen. Auf Angabe, dass wir wegmüssten, wird dann gesagt "ja dann müssen Sie früher aufstehen". Nach dem Motto "selber Schuld. Also das Hotel würde ich nicht weiterempfehlen

My second stay here! Many of the simple rooms overlook a charming courtyard. The staff are very attentive and efficient - the breakfast which is generally included in the room price is excellent. If you want a quiet traditional hotel in a terrific location, Hotel-Pension Bernstein is WELL worth considering!

Ho soggiornato preso questa struttura per 5 notti a cavallo tra settembre e ottobre. Il motivo principale per cui l'ho scelta è la sua posizione centrale, a pochi metri dalla fermata della metro e poi una volta lì ho scoperto che vi è anche un supermercato letteralmente di fronte. Una prima difficoltà è emersa una volta entrati poiché la struttura è gestita da delle signore anziane che non capiscono neanche una parola in inglese rendendo difficile la comunicazione. Le camere sono abbastanza spaziose per essere un b&b ma manca il frigorifero, fortunatamente lo staff è stato gentile e mi ha permesso di utilizzare il loro, dovendo però scomodarli la sera tardi per permettermi di prendere la roba che vi avevo riposto. Il televisore in camera è minuscolo, anche se personalmente non mi interessava dato che non prende un singolo canale italiano. La colazione a buffet è stata una sorpresa piacevole, vi sono varie pietanze e non si mangia male. Infine altra nota positiva è il wi fi che non solo prende bene in tutte le camere, ma addirittura fuori la struttura (ovviamente entro un certo limite). Complessivamente considerando la posizione, il prezzo, la gentilizza dello staff e la tipologia di hotel posso ritenermi soddisfatto

Staff was super helpful. Really dug the neighborhood. Great, old building that somehow survived the WWII. Liked the double pained, double framed window system. I highly recommend as it was close to the Metro station, easy to get to many of the attractions of the city, as well as eat reasonably with a wide variety right near the hotel. Good stay.

Good, friendly service even though some of the staff didn't speak English. The hotel has seen better days and is worn-out but it's small and central with good breakfast and everything works. Much cosier atmosphere than one of the big hotel chains - and I guess better value for the money

This is a property with no elevator and no reception area. I informed the hotel that I would be checking in around midnight. When I finally reached the property around midnight, the front door was locked and dark. There was no message for me and there was nobody to help me open the door. Their phone number was not working and I was left to fend for myself in a foreign country in the middle of the night in icy cold condition. Luckily, I had a friend in Germany who was able to communicate to the hotel manager about my situation and after a lot of difficulty and harrowing experience, I was able to check in.
