Avid Hotel Oklahoma City Airport

When we arrived at midnight we were told they only had a room with one king bed for 4 of us even though we had booked for 2 queens. The night desk person said the day manager was unable to call us because there was no number listed. After helping us find a room at another hotel he then asked for my phone number and verified that it was in the system, meaning the day manager lied.

Upon arrival the desk clerk would not look at me, did not respond when I said hello and just asked for my name. She was the most unfriendly clerk I have experienced. They could use some good customer service training.

I woke up at 3:00 to get ready for my flight to find a bed bug on my pillow. I immediately wrap my pajamas in several bags to make sure I'm not transferring anything (bugs/eggs) to my belongings. I have no choice but to gather my belongings to make my flight. I spoke to the front desk and showed him a pic that I had taken and his response was that he will notify maintenance. nothing else was said to me. I just said whatever and walked out. I called the following day to speak to a manager and was told there is not one on site. this was mid morning, I was told that she would have the GM call me. she then explained how busy the GM was and that it may take a few days. I have yet to hear from anyone. bed bugs are a big deal, if transferred home, it can be costly. I would have expected someone to have contacted me immediately. I will never stay here again. I'm highly disappointed in my stay and the lack of concern from this staff.

This is a really small hotel with small rooms. The lobby looked nice and smelled nice. But in the room there were bugs everywhere (alive and dead) and there were marks all over the walls. The shower also had bugs and hair. The room was TINY. Didn’t get enough towels, they told me it would be “a while” before they could bring me any towels. Not enough attendants working there, although the ones who were working there were very nice. Breakfast was basic grab and go. But the premade egg options weren’t great. For a quick place to rest your head as you pass through, it’s fine. But would not recommend for longer stay. Probably won’t be going back.

Hotel was extremely nice. I chose this hotel because they had a handicap room with roll in shower. When I check in they put me in a regular room. Front desk then moves me to a handicap room but regular shower. No help from the property at all. They told me that they gave my room to someone else and I would have to accept the room they gave me. Poor customer service and false advertisement. Very frustrating to be in a wheelchair to begin with and worse when you don’t get the room you need and paid for. Would not recommend this hotel!

The hotel charged me for the room again after saying card was declined when booked through *******. (Which is showed them it wasn’t) Then they say it was ******* fault for not paying taxes??? I replied “******* didn’t charge me twice” Now I’m not sure when I’ll get my refund back. He said twenty minutes, then tomorrow???? What a joke, I will never stay here again.
