伯利恆歷史酒店(Historic Hotel Bethlehem)

I’m very conflicted about this review. There were really good aspects, and some that needed work. I’m comparing it to some of the other Historic Hotels that I’ve stayed at. The lobby is clean and beautiful, but it’s small. When there are two weddings it takes over the lobby. It’s so loud that you can’t eat in the restaurant. When I checked I’m there was no mention of the Sunday Brunch, the ghosts, the fitness room or attractions. It was late but the interaction was very lackluster. The room was nice and clean. Closet space was minimal. The food at the restaurant is good, just don’t order the hummus, it’s bland. The last night the waiter actually shared the soup of the day, and specials. Location is great, you can walk to most places. They will pick you up from the airport if it is within their hours. I believe they stop at 10pm. Parking is cheap at $10 a day.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Chris**as season. The rooms were clean with wonderful little details to make the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel has much history and is located in "downtown" Bethlehem anchoring the main street that is lined with boutique shops and restaurants within walking distance. The staff is very friendly, and the night front desk clerk was quick to welcome our late arrival and anything to make our stay more comfortable. He was great and I wish I knew his name because he truly exemplifies what exceptional customer service is. It is an old historical property and I acknowledge and understand improvements are costly, but it might be time to update the decor and embrace some modern amenities for travelers, such a water fountain with refillable water bottle spout and a microwave at least in a "common area". There is NO water fountain, and the two water bottles in the room don't make up for the inadequate and lacking eco-friendly water source for guests. If you stay multiple nights and have leftovers, there is not a single microwave on the property to heat up food. The Bellhop service is a nice and custom service, but I didn't even know the hotel had it until after I checked in since their station is located around the corner of the front lobby. I parked in front and checked in from there, so maybe management should revamp that showcasing the service at the front instead of at the side of the hotel. Reception occurs at the front at the majority of hotels so unless one is a frequent traveler or guest to this hotel you would not know otherwise. Beds and pillows were great, sleep well.

I loved the history of this hotel and its location. I sleep in a room around 65°. Ours was 78 when we arrived and couldn’t find where the ac was, not sure they had it.. we slept with the window open and still only got down to 70°. That was my only complaint.. Room was gorgeous, hotel very grand, bar excellent. I really enjoyed being able to take our drink to the lounge area with plush leather seating. It was a total class act. Shout out to the staff who had smiles on their faces and looked like they truly enjoy their job. Love the doormen’s uniforms.

This has easily been one of the best hotel experiences that I have had in years. This hotel is so beautiful and the friendly service by every single staff member we interacted with made out stay so special. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Such a classy hotel- will visit again soon.

Quick and friendly check-in. Walked into the room - it was 77 degrees - and the heat was OFF! Thermostat would not allow us to use AC to cool off the room. We had to leave the WINDOW OPEN all night to cool the room to a reasonable sleeping temperature. This allowed us to hear the loud traffic noise. The bed squeaked every time we moved and the pillows were very flat. We both got very little sleep and woke up with so many aches and pains from the mattress. The bathroom was tiny with a sunken tub. It was very dangerous to step down into even with the handicap bar and even more dangerous and slippery to step up and out of the tub. I don’t understand why this hotel would get such a high rating.

Beautiful and historic building. Great location for browsing the shops on Main street. Rooms are small but comfortable. Restaurant was understaffed and under-trained. They never brought apps, never cleared plates and we didn't receive our drinks until the end of our meal.

Overall, I loved this hotel. There is a lot of wonderful history in it. The one thing I didn't like was the pillows. After one night, they became flatter than a rug on the floor. Only thing I would change.

The room was terrible. It was freezing during the night. The water in the shower was so weak. No stream! Like taking a shower with water drops. During the check out i started to say about the water issue the lady at the front desk complete my sentence! So they knew about the water issue and still gave us this room
