比斯特普勞(The Plough Bicester)

I thought I would book a local pub rather than a hotel for a recent trip, but I was a bit disappointed. There was nothing awful about it - it was clean. It was just very tired, and felt like staying somewhere in the 70s. The bed wasn't overally comfortable - sprung not divan. No housekeeping - not a huge problem, but would it be difficult to get clean mugs and fresh tea/biscuits on a 3 night stay? WIFI was awful, my room was above the kitchen so smelt a bit of cooking oil. I won't be going back - I'll stay in the Premier Inn a few minutes away, which is a shame as I liked the idea of supporting a local business, but it just needs to come up to date.

Our stay at The Plough was amazing. The room was clean and comfortable, there was a wide range of bar snacks and food. The meal we had at the restaurant, and breakfast were first class. But the most amazing experience was the wonderful service we had from Sean and the rest of the team. It was a brilliant stay and we can't wait to go back.

Initially met by a friendly member of staff, which is the only positive thing i can say of Jacob's Plough. We were shown to 2nd floor room which was definately more 'shabby' than 'chic'. The ensuite was a later addition to the room and it was a good job we decided to not bring a cat as we would have had no room to swing it. The kettle in the room had an electrical fault which meant to boil it we had to hold down the cut out switch. When we asked for another it was provided swiftly. Unfortunately the new kettle already contained a half full can of beer and a sock. So we persevered with the other one. Breakfast consisted of three large highly peppered sausages that were a little out of place for early morning and a half rasher cardboard like bacon. The eggs were fine, baked beans cold. If we had not already paid Hotel.com in full there is no way that I would have paid the outlandish £120 they were asking.

Well I called in for a few drinks before going to travelodge the bar was hardly accessible because of seating one female member of staff had not got her hair tied back serving refusing to polish glasses making gestures at a customer also very rude

We Visited the Plough on a busy Sunday lunch, there was prompt and effective service and a beautiful atmosphere. The Food is very good. It's cooked well, and it looks good on the plate and it taste as it should. All in all a very enjoyable experience. Would recommend.

Went for Sunday lunch, what a great experience, two of us had roast beef and one had the burger which was a big offering and well presented, the roast beef was very tasty and cooked to perfection, as was the side of cauliflower cheese, would definitely recommend and will certainly be going back

All good free parking 2 min walk into town were other pubs with sky for football restaurants shops etc room very clean room 5 a bit compact but fine Service was excellent from the bar staff and breakfast staff breakfast was severed from 8 but because i needed to be away let me have mine at 7 30 am reallly good Pub downstairs cosy and with a wide range of food and beer i would stay again thank you

Stay at the plough on the 10th Jan really good free parking location good 2 min walk to were pubs eg sky sports restaurants The pub is very nice room compacted room5 but very clean .the lady behind the bar was great i needed a kettle from the room she brought one up straight away also breakfast was 8 am but because I ask for 7 30 they did thus fir me thank very much I will stay again

perfect nights sleep and good food in the restaurant area as well great breakfast Millie was perfect and couldn't help enough
