恩貝斯山林小屋(Embers Lodge & Cabins)

We stayed for the 1st time at Embers it was a great little room. Staff was excellent... everything was perfect and we will be come back soon. We have been coming to Big Bear since July 2022 we have stayed at the place across the street and down the road and we have decided this is where we will be staying from now on to book a cabin. Thank you Embers for a great accommodations.

The most magical cabin in the snow. Warm, cozy and the staff were so friendly. The bed was comfortable, open fireplace and a small kitchenette. Great location with a fabulous Mexican next door. Short drive into town, We wish we could have stayed longer

This was the perfect spot to stay before a day of skiing with the family. Our cabin was extremely clean and came equipped with a small fridge and freezer, wood fireplace, king bed and pull-out single bed, which fit our two small children. Staff was very friendly upon check-in, and made sure to salt the icy walkways in the morning. We will definitely stay here again and have recommended it to several friends!

The place is clean. Our first room the heater wasn’t working and the high was about 30 that day do the room was freezing. They called a repair guy quickly. When it didn’t fix they were very nice about giving us a new room and upgrade at no extra charge. That room had two heaters. One worked well. We couldn’t get the other one to turn on until the morning. There was plenty of hot water. Their heating system needs an update.

My husband and I spent 5 nights at Embers Lodge. We had a king room which was well equipped. Very friendly and helpful staff. There weren't many guests during the week so it was quite quiet. There was a table with 2 chair, a mini fridge, a microwave, a coffee maker, 2 mugs, 2 wines glasses, salt and pepper, a roll of paper towels, and a basket with coffee and condiments. The bathroom had a corner shower, pedestal sink, toilet, and a few flat surfaces on which to set toiletries. The bed was comfortable and clean. There was a large fireplace that wasn't needed by us. Housekeeping was not being done daily due to Covid. We had to take our towels to the office daily if we wanted replacements. The same for obtaining toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, and coffee. We took our garbage out to the main cans several times. I would recommend Ember Lodge if you don't mind doing some of the essentials on your own. Also, very close to restaurants and sightseeing attractions.

The stay was great other than the strong smoke smell from the other cabins. I originally thought it was from our fire place but we put it out and removed the wood from our room and the Smokey smell would come back stronger on and off through the night and just to be sure I went outside and noticed both cabins next to us had their fireplaces lit. That was the only negative of the cabin

We chose this motel based on the ********* ratings. What the heck people!? This Lodge is on noisy BB Blvd, the property is unkept the room although ADA listed, was crowded and a wheelchair would be difficult to manuever. Off street parking, yes, but again, no HC space and far from room for someone with a disability. The decor was cabin trendy, room was dark and had a strong fireplace smell. The ceiling fan / light chain was disfunctional and could not be used independently. On the plusbside, the office staff was friendly and effecient.

The place is quaint but really needs to be renovated. No A/C was a surprise. With windows open one hears traffic all night. Ceiling fan needs its separate light switch. Room is overall dark. The bed was extra firm, and although I like a firm bed, this one was FIRM.
