was great for the prize continental bkf ...maybe ??

When we entered the room we noticed there was a plastic bag over the smoke detector and it smelled like smoke. I should have requested another room but it was late and I was very tired. There were stains on the wall that dripped all the way to the floor. The grout in between the shower tiles was discolored and the caulking around the tub was blackened. Water pressure was non existent and there was no hot water only luke warm Finally the towels appeared to be so old that they no longer absorbed the water from your body.

This hotel is obviously struggling with staff and management. It is also showing its age in many spots. But the bed was actually very comfortable; TV fine; AC worked fine. Bathroom, eh, I've seen worse. This hotel could definitely use a makeover. But it also could be taken better care of by those who are there. It's a bit run down, but it's not a total hellhole like so many reviews here state. It's affordable, and OK for an overnighter if you're traveling. I would not stay here for an extended stay. I usually have good luck with Best Westerns, as they are usually pretty tidy and comfortable. But aside from the bed, this place was not at all up to BW's usual standards.

My check in took 44 minutes with 3 people in front of me. The key I got was handed to me with no directions to the room or no welcoming message. I got to the room and had to use the rest room, but found the key did not open the door. I went back down and did jump the line, asking forgiveness and explaining the urgency. The clerk said the key was activated, it just didn't work. I asked her to help me and she responded. " If you had gotten here earlier, maybe it would have worked." A lady in line uttered aloud, " OMG' and left the lobby. I waited for my key. It still didn't work. On the third visit to the desk, she said I was rude to her and if someone was rude to her she was going to be rude back. I told her that was wrong on so many levels, but if I did something that she perceived as rude, I apologize. She then said she apologized as well. The rooms all have broken stuff and the floor was only partially vacuumed. We stayed 2 days ( was already pre paid) and no one refreshed the towels or straightened up during our stay. Another clerk at the desk the next night barely glanced at us entering the lobby and went right back to her computer browsing, never extending a greeting of any kind. Just a toxic mess. DO NOT stay here.

Good luck trying to get in contact with the hotel. Their phones have been down for a week. I am getting no response via email from their customer service and even opened tickets through Best Western corporate. All I need is a receipt.

Everything was dirty & broken down. There were crumbs all over the rug, and the adjoining room’s doorknob was completely missing. Pillows were yellow. I would have rather slept in the car. Elevator doors were missing paneling. Totally gross!!

Needed a hotel just for the night when we traveled to the area. This was close to the highway ez on and off close to restaurants. Was a nice room, clean and comfortable. Would defiantly stay again while in the area.

Very run down. Our room door only shut if you lifted up. We had no hot water. And our TV didn’t work. Luckily we only were staying one night.
